One on One

Lucky’s taking out some of his aggression playing half court. Nikolas arrives on the scene and joins the game (who knew that he could even play?) Lucky gets progressively violent during the scrimmage knocking Nik into the wall (was that a foul?) and eventually slamming him to the ground. Nik’s trying to be understanding, but Lucky effectively silences him with the question, “ how would you like me to smash your head into the pavement until YOUR love for Gia leaks out of your ears?” Nice.

Psych 101

Bobbie and Elizabeth are discussing Liz’s situation. Liz is a little unnerved, she’s hiding in Lucky’s Aunt’s home and Bobbie is trying to offer some hard-won wisdom about relationships. Liz is angry, angry that Lucky’s love is gone, angry that Nik and Gia knew that Lucky didn’t love her and angry that Lucky would have still married her out of pity. Personally, I wouldn’t have been mad at Gia, she was the only one with the cojones to tell Liz the truth, even if her timing did suck. Bobbie tells Liz that Lucky’s love might have returned if they had gotten married, but now she can figure out what she wants. She reminds Liz that Lucky didn’t deliberately stop loving her; she can thank Helena for that. Liz contemplates dating again, and the possibility that she might one day find someone she could love as much, but not more than she loves Lucky. The doorbell rings and Liz tells Bobbie that she doesn’t want anyone to know she’s there. Meanwhile, Lucky’s first question as he rolls in the door is “have you seen Elizabeth?”.

No One Said They Were the Brady Bunch

Alan confronts Skye on her latest deception. He tells her that he understands her contempt for Edward but can’t stand the fact that she betrayed him as well. He reminds her of everything he has done to welcome her to the family, which includes standing with her against his wife. He calls her a liar and says that he won’t stand for it. His words seem to affect her, and you can see her façade crack. A.J. enters after Alan leaves and tells her that no one makes it in the Q family if they play by the rules and he hopes she doesn’t let Alan’s little lecture shake her. Skye admits to AJ that Alan wasn’t too far off the mark on her behavior of late. A.J. casually mentions that he may have found the chink in Sonny’s armor, but won’t share the details with his sib. Skye has a secret of her own – later she jumps at a noise and wonders what would happen if someone had actually been there.

Too Bad They Cancelled “Love Connection”

Sonny and Alexis are dining at the No Name and discussing the Courtney situation. Alexis assures him that the girls are fine and probably having a good time. Sonny has to instruct her on the proper way to consume biscotti – before she breaks a tooth! She remarks that she’s having a good time – again – and asks him how he feels. He tells her that he’s enjoying her company as well. Alexis tells him that’s sweet, but save the dimples for a real date. She mentions that she may have to take out an ad to get herself a date and he asks her for her qualifications.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Kristina and Courtney head back to the penthouse where they find Mike waiting. He says he’s waiting for Sonny, but then asks for a moment of her time. At first Courtney wants him to leave, but he genuinely seems remorseful for the life he’s led and the mistakes he’s made with his families. Courtney tells him how when he was out gambling one day, her mother literally dragged her kicking and screaming from the house, then how she worried that her Daddy would be frantically looking for her. Sonny and Alexis arrive just as Courtney is telling Mike to leave and Sonny tries to step in for his sister insisting that Mike leave. Court does an about-face and tells Sonny she can handle things and will tell Mike to leave when she wants him to. Mike leaves and Sonny hangs around wanting to straighten things out with her, but she goes upstairs to bed. Alexis gently tells Sonny things he doesn’t want to hear, specifically about Courtney not wanting or accepting his helpful advice about their father. Sonny starts to open up about his concerns regarding his sister and father, but abruptly decides to leave as he’s imposing on Alexis. Alexis jokingly (or not) tells him that he’s hurt her feelings by assuming that she’s not his friend and wouldn’t be interested in his problems. She asks him point blank “don’t you know by now what you mean to me?”

I Thought He Was Dead

Roscoe shows up at Carly’s new club space. He’s apparently taken over Sorel’s turf and is making his rounds and soliciting clients for his protection racket. Carly’s shaken, but manages to sound cool when she tells him his services won’t be needed. She introduces herself as Mrs. Carly Corinthos, but unfortunately Roscoe mentions that Sonny isn’t worried about his ex-wife since he’s currently having dinner with his very attractive attorney. Carly tells him again to get lost as Zander walks in and backs her up. Roscoe makes note of the teen and issues a veiled threat as he leaves. Zander thinks this is something that Sonny should be made aware of, but Carly tries to brush the encounter off. Later as they walk back into the office, Carly notices that the lights are off and Zander immediately suspects something’s up. BINGO – Zander is jumped from behind and roughed up, then Roscoe and his goons make sure Carly sees them as they tell her she’ll have another chance to hire them. Zander doesn’t want Carly to call Sonny to tell him what happened because he’s tired of women protecting him and he wants to stand on his own two feet.
