General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 9-Jan-2002

A General Hospital fan might entitle today's episode as one of mixed emotions for its characters or NEW BEGINNINGS..A younger Kristina tries to explain to Ned that she does not want a career singing with his band. Also, after kissing him gently, she tells him "I can't get involved with you until I know what my sis is feeling". She tells him emphatically that it is" a recipe for trouble." In the meantime, All have gathered at THE PORT CHARLES GRILL for a drink or dinner. Kristina is supposed to be having a special night with Courtney.. Sonny's sister. AJ comes over to Courtney's table and proceeds to converse with her about the weird quartermaine family, his being a recovering alcoholic, etc. He says that Sonny would not want to see them together. Yet, a strong- willed Courtney tells him that No one tells her whom to choose as a friend.She seems to be rather mature for a 20 year old.
Sonny and Alexis are having a nice evening drinking expensive wine while waiting for a table. In walks a fiesty Skye who knocks Sonny's drink out of his hand. She tells him that she's going to hurt him for all the devastation he has caused AJ and others. Sonny tells her that she is a fool. He also tells her that some day someone is going to squash her . Her knight in shining armor, Jax, appears to save her once again. He and Sonny have their usual spat,and he and Skye depart.
Carly has tried to fix up Zander with a blind date.. Nicole. Yet, Zander finds a way to rid himself of her. He tells Carly that he is not ready for a new relationship with anyone. He teases her about her being available and free too. She tells Zander that there will NEVER be another Sonny. SOOOOOOO One still wonders where this Zander-Carly relationship is going . In fact,it's rather puzzling to guess where any of these relationships will go. Isn't Zander much younger than Carly?When Carly and Zander leave The GRILL to go to her office, she discusses the kind of club that she wants to open. She tells him that he would be perfect to help her.He remembers that he has parked his car on the curb so he leaves to move it. A guy who had confronted Alexis at THE GRILL shows up in Carly's office. Sonny has said that this guy named Roscoe is a dangerous cohort of Sorel's . Roscoe tells Carly that they are going to get to know each other really well. She looks befuddled and the viewer is left wondering if Zander will return in time to protect her from peril.
