General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 8-Jan-2002

JAILHOUSE BLUES:

AJ and Skye are arrested. Skye gets a ceil across from Helena. Helena taunts her till Jax shows up. Jax promises to get Skye out of this bind. Court tells Mac the truth about how she knew about her mother's blackmailing. Janine, in another room, confesses that when Edward woke up the next he asked her how he was. She didn't want hurt his feelings so she told him that he was great. She also says that it was all Skye's idea to blackmail Edward. Jax takes Edward aside and tells him to drop all charges or he will pay. Edward has a change of heart and all charges are drop and the 3 are let go. Skye goes to her dad but Alan blasts her for causing so much trouble in the family.

BIG BROTHER'S ADVICE:

Sonny asks Alexis out since their NYE plans got ruined. Alexis thinks he needs to spend time with Court and they all go home. There Courtney gets upset about how Sonny threw his weight around at the police station. Sonny tells Court that she should trust him. She asks him how she can trust him when she barely knows him and that he doesn't seem to know how to trust anyone. Sonny tells her that she has to stay in Port Charles. She doesn't want to stay with Sonny so he tells her to stay with Alexis. Court gets upset at Sonny's bossiness and leaves. Kris follows her and takes her out on the town. The two go to Luke's club where AJ spots Court and gets a wicked grin on his face...

I CAN'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO KEEP TRACK OF MY FAMILY:

Mike harasses Zander and demands to know where Sonny is keeping Courtney. Zander gets angry and Carly has to step in. Carly reassures Mike that Sonny is taking care of Court and that soon he will be able to see her. Mike is satisfied for the moment and leaves. Zander and Carly make plans to go out on the town.

AND THE ANSWER IS:

Laura spills her heart to Luke. She tells him that at first she was scared but now she trusts him. She tells him yes she will and wants to marry him. She waits for a response and doesn't get one. She peeks around the blanket and sees that Luke is gone. She goes down to the front desk to ask the girl there if she saw Luke leave. She tells Laura that he paid the bill and left. She then goes on to tell Laura that her and Luke are known throughout the region and everyone knows about their wonderful romance. Laura decides to go after him on his motorcycle. Elsewhere, Luke hops onto a train car. He finds a friendly bum and confines in him that he wants Laura to have her own space so she can think about what she really wants...
