General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 19-Dec-2001

This is a time of upheaval in the Quartermaine family as Skye manipulates the meeting to take THE CEO position from Edward. Also, Jax becomes the new chairman of the board. Edward warns the conniving redhead that Jax may one day treat her wrong as she has mistreated him.AJ tells Skye that he thinks that she is falling for the suave jax. Who knows?Skye tells Edward that she will hire him, and a proud Edward tells her"NO WAY".Then Skye tries to make amends with Monica. She says:" I am not the monster you think I am." Monica just simply makes some remark and walks away.
In the meantime, lovely Elizabeth returns to GH after a leave of absence in real life.:-)She is found in Lucky's bed much to his joy. She says" Let's continue as we were". Yet, Lucky says " No, Let's start over". He tells her how thinking about her had gotten him through some real ordeals. They make love, but as Elizabeth tells him that she wants to spend every moment with him, he looks puzzled to this viewer, WHY?
Sonny tells Carly that he does not want to pressure her into letting him adopt Michael. She says that he is HIS DAD sooooooooo. When Jax shows up , it irks Sonny. Sonny says "Don't You ever hurt Carly or I 'll grind you to powder". a kinder, more sensitive Sonny appeals to Carly.Love is still "IN THE AIR " for these two.Carly tells Sonny that this just biz.
Kristina goes night skiing with Ed. She tells Alexis about their fun, laughter, etc. Alexis says:" You would be good for him". Kristina says" What?" We are simply friends." When Kristina brings up Sonny again to Alexis, Alexis tells her not to do it again, She says :"IT MAKES ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE".Later , Sonny returns home and asks Alexis to let him fix dinner for her without "HER POPCORN". HA
The sweetest event is clearly that of Laura and Luke's declaration of continued love for each other. Luke says " I wanted to see if the magic were still there, and it is". He said" I am crazy about you". She said the same soooooooo. Luke says on a parting note "Well, let's do something crazy". Laura asks what? He says: Let's do something really crazy.. MARRY ME."
