Thank Goodness we have moved on... it's going to take awhile to get the bitter taste of biotoxin out of our mouths, but there does seem to be a light at the end of our long-suffering GH-watchers tunnel...I submit:
Just can't get you out of my mind
Scotty produces a beautiful saphire and diamond engagement ring for Laura. He loves her, wants her to be happy "I love you, I am so IN LOVE with you." How sweet this little spiky haired imp can be...alas, Laura tells him she does love him, but omits the part about being "in love" with him. Nobody misses that - especially poor Scott. She tells him he's sweet, smart, handsome and sexy - an incredible combination. He plants a good one on her, but then asks her if she still has feelings for Luke. Laura doesn't lie, even though she probably should. She tells him she needs time and he responds with "time? time is good - Yes would have been better!". The two decide to call it a night. As she turns off the lights downstairs, Laura gives in to an impulse and sits at her desk looking at the ring Scotty left with her. She puts it on, looks at it - then very deliberately takes it off.
The Party's Over
Over at Luke's, he and Felicia are doing some reconnecting. On Luke's part, he's like a kid in a candy store. He's so excited about moving on and resuming his life post-Cassadine. He details his plans (even mentioning the WSB!?) to a calm and composed Orphie, who gently tries to bring him back to earth and the reality that they can't pick up where they left off. Luke apologizes for the rough way he behaved while dealing with Helena's poisoning. He offers her the opportunity to clock him for his rotten behavior, but she takes a pass. Rather bittersweetly (is that a real word?) he tells her that it was wonderful, whatever it was they shared and he wouldn't trade if for the world. Later Luke unlocks a stongbox and reads over his final divorce decree while Felicia walks past Luke's Place again crying for what might have been and can never be.
Look what the cat dragged in
Mike appoaches a wary Janine. Relax, she's not here to see you Mike. She's got bigger fish to filet! In a snide voice, she mentions that her daughter (Courtney) is fine, and thanks for asking - Meow. Mike looks really uncomfortable with Janine's mere presence - no doubt there's something squirrely about their one-time relationship. Could it be that Sonny's going to be a big brother shortly?
Time for a career change?
Roy and Melissa head back to her apartment - with her chattering incessantly. Why doesn't he tell her to shut up?! Anyway, he's got the dark, brooding thing going on, wandering around the room and acting despondent. He finally struggles to voice his feelings - he's done some good stuff, made some mistakes along the way, but basically is a good guy. He likes the way it feels and wants to do it full-time. Melissa reminds him that he is one of the good guys - and she's behind whatever he decides to do.
Show me the money
Over at Jax's penthouse, Skye manages to infuriate Jax (yet again) this time by suggesting that he bankroll her scheme against Edward and Sonny in exchange for her silence regarding his taste in women. For a milisecond he's confused, then she goes on about his predilection for "mature" women (Meaning Psycho Granny) - He almost busts a gut laughing then tells her she messed up his plan to help his friends. She gets all huffy realizing that she doesn't have any leverage over the awesome aussie. She says fine -don't help me, just wait until Sonny hurts someone you love..... ouch. Jax comes to a dead halt thinking of Ms. Barrett - next thing we know, Skye's standing on the other side of his hotel room door with a check in her hand and a very puzzeled look on her face.
Bust a move (or a vase)
Sonny can see that Alexis is still on edge. He suggests that she relax, she says she can't- she hates her surroundings (meaning the penthouse). Clearly she's unnerved by his presence and his unwillingness to leave her alone. "I'm O.K. alone, I do alone very well..." He suggests she get rid of those things that she dislikes and encourages her to break a vase, a crystal bowl and various other knick-knacks. At first she's getting a kick out of it, then suddenly collapses on the couch realizing how emotionally upset she was her whole life because of her fear of Helena. Sonny lets her sob against his shoulder. Alexis goes upstairs to bed, but stops midway to turn to Sonny and blurt out "I dreamed about you, I dreamt that you rescued me." Sonny smiles and says " You did? - Wow" Effectively letting her off the hook for her confession - sweet. Later Alexis comes back downstairs to a cleaned up living room and a sleeping dark angel on her sofa.
