General Hospital Update for Friday, 2-Nov-2001

It looks like we may have reached they begining of the end (at least in this chapter) of the Spencer/Cassadine fued...

Skye finds Jax stretched out cold on the floor of Alexis's penthouse. After Skye revives him for the second time that day, Jax realized that Alexis was gone and tries to explains why he fears Alexis is in grave danger.

As Laura arms herself with a pistol, Lucky arrives and insists that his mother not get in harm's way. Lucky pleads with Laura to let him end the feud between the Cassadines and the Spencers. Nikolas arrived upon the scene, and he helped Laura convince Lucky to remain in hiding and let them face Stavros and Helena without him. They worried that Lucky would fall prey to Helena's brainwashing or Stavros' hate.

Stavros catches Gia phoning in a warning to Nikolas. Gia manages to tell Nik Stavros' alias (Lucien Cane). Stavros is angry when he realizes that Gia duped him. Later, Stavros prevents Gia from escaping, even when Gia reminds him of her deep love for Nikolas.

Meanwhile, Alexis and Stefan are reunited when Helena's goon locks the siblings up together. Alexis convinces Stefan that together they were Nikolas' only hope. She knows that they can defeat Helena and Stavros. Bolstered by her confidence, Stefan agrees to attempt an escape.

Pleased to see the improvement in his friend's condition, Roy kids Luke about his uncanny ability to land on his feet no matter what life throws at him. Jax arrives and hoping to get the location of Helena's lab, appeals to Luke and Roy for help rescuing Alexis. They can't offer anything solid since Luke can't remember where it is, so Jax decides to offer himself as bait, since Helena has the "hots" for him. Later, Roy is concerned when he discovered that Bobbie was missing as well.(She was grabbed by some of Helena's goons in a hospital hallway).

In Martinique, Carly and Sonny rehash the past as Sonny brings Carly back to the very same room they shared during their island honeymoon. They relive moments from their marriage as they prepare to sign the divorce papers. Carly stuns Sonny when she agrees to divorce him and move on. Even more surprising, Sonny confesses to Carly that he didn't want to let her go. Wiping away tears, Carly tells Sonny she will always love him, but she knows now she must let him go.


Nikolas and Laura bravely walk into the maze inside the cave, but stop in their tracks when Stavros appears.

Congratulations to Becky Herbst and husband Michael Saucedo on the birth of their son, Ethan Saucedo.

Linda Dano (Rae Cummings) will be returning to GH during November sweeps.

Steve Burton (ex-Jason, GH) makes his major feature film debut in Robert Redford's The Last Castle. Burton plays Captain Peretz in the story of a military prison uprising. The film opened nationally on Oct. 19.

SoapNet will air a 12-episdode Luke and Laura marathon entitled, "Luke and Laura Through the Years," on Friday, November 23. Highlights from the day will include Laura getting a job at Luke's disco, their summer on the run(including dancing at Wyndham's and their first time making love), and the wedding episode itself, which originally aired November 16 and 17, 1981. The marathon will conclude with the most recent event in Luke and Laura's relationship - their divorce - which originally aired in June of this year.

11/5: Luke has a flashback to his teenage years. Stavros figures a way to get to Nikolas (Evan Ellingson and Emma Gould portray the young Luke and Bobbie.)

11/6: Stavros gets Laura spurred into action. Lucky just might break Helena's hold on him with a little help from a friend.

11/7: Helena confronts Bobbie about Luke's hiding place.

11/8: Sonny can't believe Carly's answer.

11/9: Mac helps Felicia. Helena is arrested. Luke and Stavros have yet another final showdown.

11/12: Laura and Luke re-examine their feelings.

11/14: Skye once again asks a favor of Jax.

11/16: Luke and Laura; 20 Years Later...Finally an Anniversary Special~! On November 16th, L&L travel down their famous past in a moving episode dedicated to their story. Both look back with love, regrets and tears in the midst of their recent split and troubles.
