General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 31-Oct-2001

So much happened that the hour just flew by.... lets hit the highlights, shall we?

Christopher Lowe WAS NOT here
Stavros takes Gia into a boudoir-esqe room that he had redecorated with Laura in mind. The place is just overkill - candles everywhere, pastels that fairly drip off the tv screen. Stavros wants to know if the room would make a woman fall in love with him?? Well, maybe if you weren't a sadistic wacko creep, but that ain't the case! Gia explains that it was Nikolas' inherent goodness that drew her to him, not his money or (God forbid!) his title. Personally, I think girlfriend deserves a little more pampering given the fact that she's had to put up with Nik's psycho granny, the frozen-pop and believing that her honey would dump her and off Liz for jollies -but, hey, that's just me. Stavros lets Gia leave with a few of his heavies, then stands around daydreaming that Laura would be swayed by his display of love and eventually forgive him - yeah right. Even if you hadn't been watching regularly, there was no chance that you would have mistaken this scene for anything other than a dream sequence - I almost expected Pam Ewing to wake up to Bobby in the shower!

Stuck on you
Skye and Jax-babe are stuck in the elevator (some girls have all the luck!) Practical Jax makes like the Otis Elevator repair guy and tries to fix things up in the ceiling. Ever ready to lend a hand (or was it two hands?) Skye gooses, I mean lends a boost to Jasper's backside in an attempt to help him fix whatever it is he's trying to fix. All the while, chattering incessantly about the Q's and Janine and getting Edward back. Jax gets zapped up in the elevator shaft and tumbles to the floor of the elevator. After a moment of panic, Skye forces herself to attempt CPR and mouth to mouth resucitation on our hero. She rips open his shirt then starts to lay a big wet one on him when the elevator suddenly jerks back into operation, conveniently throwing her atop a startled, yet conscious Jax. Of course the doors open to a bemused Ned, who tells Jax to cut it out, they don't have time to play games. Hey, timing is everything!

It's a start
Luke is doing better, but is still weak and not ready to do battle with Stavros yet. Nik arrives to ask for his help in dealing with Helena. He's getting better says Mom, but not yet ready to tangle with those two. Luke looks at the map he drew, but isn't really able to make sense out of it. He does however, tell Nikolas that he was wrong about him and that he doesn't hate him because he has a good heart, his mother's heart. Awwwww. Laura sits by Luke's bed and vows they will fight the Cassadine's together and win.

The Way you make me feel...
Ned and Kristina bond over one of Ned's songs. You can so tell that he likes this sibling of Alexis' much more than he does Stefan. They giggle a bit on the couch then Alexis comes in looking for her Ex-Hubby Jax. Things turn serious, especially when Kristina attempts to play match-maker AGAIN. Alexis gently tells her sister not to waste her time, when it's over, it's over. Alexis leaves to take a nap at her place and Johnny stands guard outside the door. After hearing a noise in the hall, she opens her door to a smug Helena - yikes!

Back at the Q's
A.J. is trying to suck the Janine info out of Edward. He manages to get Edward to admit that he woke up with a scantily clad Janine beside him in bed! Hey, I don't know about you, but this gives me hope for the future!!) Anyway - Edward tries to get A.J. to side with him against Skye and Janine. A.J. asks for a bigger slice of the Q-Pie and a grumbling Edward hands over more shares as Skye walks in the door. A.J. tells his nu-sis that Edward was up for a little blackmail but ended up giving his least fave grankids more stock in the family firm. Let the fun begin!

p.s. - So sorry for the tardiness of my post, I had a family medical emergency that took precedence.
