General Hospital Update for Friday, 26-Oct-2001

AT THE AIRPORT…
As Jax watches the plane carrying Angel depart, a woman approaches and asks him if he know the Q's. He asks if she is a friend or a business associate and his suspicions are aroused when she just gives a non-committal nod. So he tests her Q knowledge by mentioning 'Bart' Quartermaine and his latest misdeeds, the clueless woman agrees that Bart is a rascal thereby confirming Jax's suspicion that she doesn't know the Q's at all. Ever the devil, Jax offers her a ride to the Q estate anyway. But before they can even leave the lounge, Officer Capelli arrives and questions Jax about Angel's whereabouts. When Jax is less than forthcoming with the info, Capelli hauls the sassy Aussie down to HQ. Before departing, Jax gives the woman the Q's address.

AT THE LAKE HOUSE…
Carly & Sonny continue the masquerade as their passion and Carly's words pushes them beyond Sonny's restraint. They make it to the sofa, but alas for Carly it is not to be, as Mac and Taggart burst in to arrest Angel. Stunned to find they've been tricked, Mac tells Sonny and Carly someone will pay as Taggs searches the house for Angel (I know they saw Jax carry someone out, why waste the time?). Sonny and Carly play dumb when Mac questions them about Angel's whereabouts, Carly even goes as far as to poke fun of the Commish, "I didn't know wearing a wig was illegal!". Taggs reports Angel isn't there but all her clothes are. Mac leaves Taggart to question the Corinthos (not the best move) after receiving a call that Jax was found at the airport. Taggs as usual gets in Sonny's face and throws around words like aiding and abetting, conspiracy, obstruction. Sonny counters with harassment, severe emotional damage-after all they were interrupted in a very private moment while enjoying reconciliation thanks to Angel's generous offer of the lake house. Frustrated, Taggart warns the duo not to leave town with out permission then slams out of the house. Carly expresses sympathy for the cop, "he has nothing, we have the house all to our selves, now where were we?" Sonny burst her bubble, when he tells her it isn't going to work. They would still be in the same situation after the lovemaking was over, "You can't live in my world, I can't live any other way". They argue some more over the proposed adoption. Sonny tells her they should hold on to the best and let the rest go. Carly tells him that what she is trying to do and if he can't see it then she wasting her time. She storms out also.

AT THE Q HOUSE…
Skye aggravates Edward when he is less than polite over cups of coffee. Edward tells Skye she has no proof, therefore he is through playing her game. After Edward leaves, Skye determines to find the proof she needs to keep her hold over Edward. Later Skye wants AJ to go with her to Atlantic City to gather "evidence" on Edward. AJ is wary since Mac warns all not to leave town, and Skye is less than forthcoming with details. Skye explains the plan they go to AC to get info on Edward, they use it to get Edward to sell ELQ stock to Jax, and Jax helps them bring down Sonny and get Michael back. AJ warns Skye that Jax is untrustworthy, Skye assure him she can handle Jax, after he's a 'man'. Reginald announces a visitor-the woman from the airport. The woman tries to explain the reason for her visit, but Skye acts as if she knows the woman, invites her in and chats her up. Later we see AJ asking the woman (whose name we learn is Janine) why she is there, but Skye warns him off.

ON THE YACHT…
Gia regrets that the night is over as Nik explain that he must go and confront Helena. Gia wants to go with Nik, but he makes her promise to stay on the yacht, since worrying about her would distract him. Gia wants to call the police, but Nik tells her the police wouldn't believe their story, plus they are tired of the Spencer/ Cassadine feud. Gia is still worried about Nik, but he assures her that he is not fighting alone. After Nik leaves, a teary Gia leans over to grab a tissue and a picture labeled "Stavros & Nikolas" grabs her attention. She picks it up and turns it over. (It's the same picture Chloe saw right before she died). Just like Chloe, Gia realizes that Lucien Cain is really Stavros Cassadine. She tries to call Nik back, but he is gone.

AT THE CASSADINE LAB…
A seemingly depressed Stavros greets a returning Helena. When Helena questions what is wrong. Stavros tells her that Nik hates him, sees him as a monster. Helena tells Stavros that they can change Nik's attitude just like they changed Lucky Spencer's. Stavros is appalled that Helena would treat her own grandson the same as "Luke Spencer's bastard" and warns Helena not to touch Nik. He says Stephan was right about her, she doesn't have a heart. Helena tries to point out how devoted she has been to her #1 son, but he says that is wasn't done for love, but for power and position. He vows to win Nik's love on his own despite Helena's warning that it will be more difficult that he can imagine.

MELISSA'S APARTMENT…
Melissa & Roy arrive back complaining about Mac tactics. Roy assures her it is all over, no to worry. Melissa goes to shower to 'wash it all away'. Roy joins Melissa in the shower and they get steamy as they finally consummate their relationship. Later they share a tender moment when Roy carries Melissa to the shower and they discuss starting over again.

AT THE SPENCER HOUSE…
Nik tries to convince a hostile Lucky that they are on the same side. He tries to explain that the "prince' was just and act to convince Helena. Nik couldn't confide in Lucky for fear that Helena would get the truth from him. He assures Lucky that Liz is alive, but can't tell him where she is because it would put her in danger.

AT THE POLICE STATION…
Mac questions Jax about his jet's destination, but Jax stonewalls. Gia arrives and tells Mac to arrest Lucien Cain because he is conspiring to commit a crime. Unwilling to tell the complete truth, Gia only tells Mac Lucien is using an alias and is conspiring with Helena. Mac is unwilling to believe her after the last "crime she reported" and tells her not to waste his time. She does however get Jax attention and he convinces her to tell him the truth. Gia to Jax' "Stavros is alive, well & roaming Port Charles as Lucien Cain.

CARLY'S HOUSE…
Carly arrives home and is so upset after her fight with Sonny that it takes her a few minutes to realize she has an uninvited guest… Lucien Cain

AT THE Q HOUSE…
Edward walks in to the sitting room as Skye is warning AJ not to interrogate their guest Janine. Upon seeing Edward, Janine stands and walks toward him saying, "Sweetcheeks! I've missed you so much! Did you miss me?"

The GH episode for 11/16 will be an anniversay special dedicated to Luke, Laura and their story.
