1. Cassadine Yacht - “The Perfect Night” - Nikolas and Gia are enjoying being with each other. They keep saying things like they can’t believe it’s real, it feels like a dream, it was so lonely when they were apart, etc., etc. Gia says she wishes the two of them could have quiet and freedom forever. Then she turns serious and tells Nikolas she’s done standing on the sidelines; she wants to fight for him. Nikolas says, let’s just enjoy tonight. They end up in a bubbling hot tub outside somewhere with burning candles all around the edge. Gia sees a shooting star and insists they make a wish. Together, they recite “twinkle, twinkle, little star” and then kiss. Gia says the stars twinkle because they’re magic; Nikolas says he learned some astronomy. Gia quizzes him on the different constellations. Then things get more serious when Nikolas says he used to dream of his father coming for him; he should have been careful what he wished for. He tells Gia he’s sorry for hurting her, but he will keep trying to save Lucky. He says he can get through anything with her on his side.
2. Quartermaine Mansion - “The Ultimatum” - A.J. is trying to dissuade Skye from working with Jax when Zander bursts into the living room, yelling that A.J. told Emily he’d helped Sonny steal Michael from him. Emily broke up with me, Zander wails. A.J. says Zander deserves it for lying to the police for Sonny. Zander says that A.J. lied, too, when he told Emily that Zander helped Sonny’s goons pin A.J. down and poured vodka down his throat. A.J. makes no apologies for what he told his sister; “I lied to protect her from the likes of you, Zander. She’d be in college now if it wasn’t for you.” Zander pleads with Skye to call Emily and tell her the truth. Skye says she will if Zander helps her get something on Sonny that will help get A.J. back his son. I can’t betray Sonny, Zander says. You will if you love Emily, Skye responds. Zander points out that he let Emily go to an undisclosed rehab facility for her own good, whereas Skye was the one who helped them get on the bus that was in the accident that hurt Emily. If she’s sorry for that, she should prove it now. Skye sticks to her guns, saying, “help me, help A.J., or lose Emily.” Don’t ask me to choose, Zander implores her. A.J. declares he’ll hire protection for Emily to keep Zander away from her. Zander blows up at A.J., saying that he’s glad Sonny got Michael away from him, he doesn’t deserve to be a father. Someday Emily will know the truth, Zander goes on, and she’ll hate you for keeping us apart. He storms out. (So, that’s it? Zander, who traveled across the country to break Emily out of boarding school, is going to let A.J.’s threat of “protection” around Emily keep them apart? Well, since she’s left the show, I guess that is that.) A.J. thanks Skye for sticking up for him. Skye shows an ounce of remorse, saying that Emily and Zander really did love each other. A.J. tells her it means a lot to him to FINALLY have someone on his side. Skye warns him that Zander might not be through with him yet, and now he has Sonny on his side.
3. Laura’s House - “The Truth” - Laura is napping on the couch when we see a hand stroking her hair. She wakes up to find Stavros standing over her! He tells her not to scream, no one can stop him, she belongs to him. He reaches out to touch her face and . . . she wakes up for real to find Scotty standing over her. She tells him she was having a nightmare but she won’t tell him what it was about. Laura says she ruined his life before and now she’s treating him worse, taking advantage of his feelings (and that’s the truth!) when she can’t return them. We need to end this, Laura says. Scotty won’t back off that easily. He says he’s good at fixing things and he can help her. Laura says they married too young and they can’t go back to what they had. We also can’t have a future together, she adds. Is this because of Luke? Scotty asks. Are you still in love with him? If yes, “feet don’t fail me now,” but if not, I’m not going anywhere. Laura evades the question, saying only that Luke needs her. An astute Scotty says, you’re hiding something, Laura. We don’t have a chance, let me go, Laura begs. The Cassadines are out to hurt everyone close to me. Then she lets slip Stavros’ name. Scotty demands to know what’s going on. Laura says he won’t believe it if she tells him. Try me, Scotty insists. So Laura finally reveals that Stavros is alive. After a moment of disbelief, Scotty takes action. He calls Gail and tells her and Lee to take Serena out of town. Then he tells Laura, we have a future together, so don’t push me away to keep me safe.
4. Angel’s House at the Lake - “The Great Escape” - While the police sit in their squad car outside, the foursome inside try to figure out what to do. Carly is yelling at Angel, while Jax and Sonny are offering their help in getting her out of the country. Angel says she doesn’t want their help. Out in the police car, Mac and Taggert are impatiently waiting for a warrant to enter the premises. Mac insists they do it “by the book” (what, after dragging all the suspects out for an impromptu, mass interrogation, NOW he’s worried about procedure?). Taggert points out they can get them for being accessories after the fact, but Mac says they have to get Angel for murder. Inside the house, the men insist they want to help Angel get away; they owe her for getting rid of her scum father. Angel admits she would like to go to the Greek island she told Sonny about earlier. After establishing that Angel won’t be able to come back into the country after leaving because there’ll be a warrant out for her arrest, Carly offers her help in the escape. Next thing we see is Carly and Sonny screaming at each other out on the deck. They’re putting on a good show for the police, with Carly wailing that she loves Sonny and Sonny yelling at her to leave him and Angel alone (wow, this is the most animated I’ve ever seen Sonny). Jax comes out and tries to calm things down. Sonny and Angel go back inside, with Carly and Jax following. In the police car, Taggert wants to know if they can now go in because of this domestic disturbance. Mac says no, it wouldn’t stick. We wait five more minutes for the warrant, he decides. Next we see Jax carrying “Carly” (Angel in a blonde wig) out over his shoulder. Inside the house, Sonny and “Angel” (Carly in a brunette wig - good thing Angel had these wigs handy) positioning themselves by the window so the cops will have a clear view. Let’s make it good, Sonny says. No problem, a gleeful Carly responds. They start making out.
5. Airport - “The End of a Beautiful Friendship” - Jax tells Angel that he is grateful to her; she came along at a point in his life when he needed her. She tells him that “every ending is a new beginning.” I need to figure out who I really am, Angel says. She leaves on Jax’ private jet.
