General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 23-Oct-2001

At Ned's place...
Kristina & Ned walk in on Jax & Skye in a "compromising position" with Jax' shirt off. It seems obvious to the television viewer that his button is caught in her ugly sweater (ahh! that's the reason she was wearing that!!), but Kristina & Ned seem to think they are flirting (or more). They do everything they can to warn Jax to stay away from Skye. Jax explains what Skye wanted..to team up to get back at Sonny. Even when Skye explains what really happened to AJ (the whole meat locker story), Ned barely listens, is skeptical and doesn't have an ounce of sympathy. After Skye leaves in a huff, Kristina, Ned & Jax have an inane conversation that seriously baffles me as to the point. Bottom line is Kristina is trying to figure out Jax and once Jax leaves, she grills Ned for info about the great loss Jax so apparently suffered (read: Brenda). Then, she starts in on Ned about his treatment of AJ and suggests maybe AJ is misunderstood. Ned refuses to listen.
At the Q house...
Jax stops by the main house on his way out to warn Skye again how dangerous Sonny is. She finally suggests if he is so worried, why won't he help?
At Laura's house...
Scott shows up to visit Laura, but Lucky warns him to stay away, that it will never work out between him and his mom. Scott admits that he realizes Luke & Laura share something special, but he loves Laura and wants to help her.
At Mac's murder crackdown...
Mac explains what exactly happened the night Sorel died, amid the typical arguing, bickering, complaining and legalese from Alexis. Among those yelling at each other were: Alan to Zander, Melissa to Sonny, Carly to Melissa, Roy to Carly, AJ to Sonny, Carly to Mac...you get the idea. In case someone really cares what happened the night Sorel died, here is what happened as deduced by master detective Mac..
1.) Zander took his sleeping pills and laced the coffee outside ICU with them, in an attempt to put the guard outside Sorel's room to sleep. Zander, however, was too weak and collapsed on the floor of his room.
2.) Alan came in and turned off the meds being fed to Sorel.
3.) Melissa came in, removed Sorel's leads and attached them to the EKG simulator. Also, she rigged the alarm with the tongue depresser.
4.) The MURDERER (??!!) came in and turned off the respirator, officially killing Sorel.
5.) Mike came in and smothered the already dead Sorel with a pillow.
6.) Roy came in and switched the respirator back on, presumably thinking Melissa had been the one to turn it off. Sorel remained dead.
7.) Carly came in and unplugged the respirator. Again, Sorel remained dead.
8.) Angel witnesses Carly's act.
Of course, the question remains, who actually turned off the respirator? Four suspects are: Monica, AJ, Bobbie and Sonny!
