General Hospital Update for Monday, 22-Oct-2001

Well, well, well – I know that it takes a little while to make changes in the world of soap operas. With the exception of SORAS, time in Port Charles is measured in dog years – y’know one regular year takes SEVEN years to tell…. But I have to hand it to the writers at GH. Whatever hissy fit that JFP threw, it seems to have (begun) to have the desired effect. Read on kitties….

And then there were four….
Mac’s got everybody confessing to something, probably even stuff not related to the Sorrel murder investigation. Basically we find out that; a) someone was not as capable of murder as she thought (Melissa) b) someone would do anything to cover up for their lover if they thought they were the killer (Roy) or c)yes, they could cold-bloodedly kill someone threatening their family or said family’s happiness (Carly and Mike). Throw in Zander for swiping meds, Alan for cutting meds and Angel for not giving a damn about Daddy and the question still remains – who really was responsible for Sorrel’s becoming worm food? Sonny, Bobbie, Monica and AJ better come up with some snappy answers for our intrepid police commish – pronto.

They all look alike in the dark
Skye catches Jax unaware (too bad not in his underwear!) and gives him the judo-chop-chop and has him on the floor and at her mercy (alas, another missed opportunity for gratuitous sex) at the gatehouse. Thank you God, someone gave Jax his spiky little boy ‘do back over the weekend complete with blond glitzing – yeah! Skye thinks she’s pretty badass at protecting herself, Jax says all it proves it that she took a course in self-defense. Skye’s girlpride is injured so she picks up the phone to call the PCPD and report an intruder - yeah right. Meanwhile Ned and blue haired Kristina venture out to Jake’s for a little R & R. Since when did Jake's cater to creatures of the night? - Anyway, they have a little fun ( I’m picking up heavy flirt vibes coming off of both of them) and before it’s all over Kristina practically forces Eddie Maine out of retirement. Welcome back Eddie – we’ve missed you! – and your leather pants ;-)

Daddy’s Home!
Nikolas tells Laura that he will get back to the lab and try to find the antidote to Luke’s strange illness. He goes on to say that Helena has to trust him now since she shared the secret of the “POPsicle”. Laura is shocked, as Nik seems to be talking about dead-old-dad as if he hasn’t been defrosted yet. He mentions that he expressed his not so loving sentiments to the cube, but that no one could have heard him since Helena was out of the room. That’s when Laura springs it on him that she and Uncle Stefan deciphered the computer discs and Psycho Granny has since thawed out her demon seed! They realize that Helena and Stavros tricked Nik into betraying himself – whoops. They hurry to the hospital but the secret entrance to the lab is mysteriously moved – busted!

And the winner is…
Back at the mansion, the murder suspects bicker amongst themselves with Alexis repeatedly saying that they shouldn’t answer any more questions without benefit of counsel – by the way, does Alexis have an office or a paralegal – I mean, who answers her phones? How about Laura and Alexis sharing Elton – he can’t have too much to do over at Deception these days anyway.

Stuck on you
Jax and Skye are still playing word games – and Jax is wondering why Skye is suddenly trying to enlist his aid with the downfall of Sonny. He warns her that tangling with the local Mafioso godfather can be really bad for your health – didn’t she learn anything from the A.J. Meatpacking Plant Fiasco? Moxie-girl says she’s dealt with tougher opponents than Sonny – whatever. She starts to escort Jax to the door and accidentally (on purpose) gets the buttons of his shirtsleeve tangled in her de$igner $weater. Of course they can’t get free and the Aussie bo(d)y-wonder has no choice but to strip off that shirt – what a shame – hehehe. By the way, all this occurs just as Ned and Kristina are walking in the door – but of course you knew that was gonna happen...
