General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 16-Oct-2001

At the Quartermaine house...

AJ is back! Skye wants to know where he's been, but he's not saying. "Hung up," he volunteers. AJ assumes she thinks he was drinking like the rest of the family believes. Skye is convinced that wasn't true but does tell him that a bartender came by with his car keys and said AJ was wasted. AJ decides Sonny's threats are real and tells her what Sonny did to him. He's livid and vows to get even. Skye suggests he wait on this for awhile and reminds him that his son is safe for now. They realize that some day Sonny is going to need something and when he does, they will be ready to take what he wants from him.


At Carly's home...

Sonny is knocking on Carly's door; she comes downstairs in a flannel robe but runs upstairs to change into something sexy before answering the door. He calls her on it, but she denies it. Sonny presents her with the papers AJ apparently signed (not that we saw it) revoking his rights. She is ecstatic. That's not all, though. Sonny tells her he wants to adopt Michael, to show him that he will never leave and can always feel safe. Carly realizes that Sonny has no intentions of stopping divorce proceedings and calls him selfish. She agrees to take some time to think about the adoption.


Aboard Cassidine yacht...

Gia is there when Lucky comes rushing in, certain that Elizabeth is in trouble. He explains he has blank spots, doesn't exactly remember what has happened. He has a feeling he did something bad to Luke. Gia tries to convince Lucky not to give up on Liz and feeds him every love cliche in the book..."nothing can conquer love" "happy ending" blah blah blah. Lucky does manage to have a vision of Liz reassuring him of her love and he decides to fight!! Gia asks him about Lucien Kane, leading Lucky to go into his regular daze and spout, "He's a demon from hell!"


At the hospital...

Stavros taunts Stefan about Chloe and then they argue about Nikolas. Stavros is convinced his son is just like him, but Stefan says no way. Stavros manages to knock out his brother and then he ties him up. Helena tells Stavros to end it NOW, but Stavros prefers to rub what Stefan's lost in his poor brother's face. He puts him in front of a monitor so he will be able to witness the father/son reunion firsthand and see how wrong he is. Stefan assures Stavros he will be in for quite a shock when he finally meets Nikolas.


Nikolas shows up outside Luke's room to talk to Laura. He tells her about Liz' "death" and Gia finding out about everything. She tells him about Stefan escaping and tries to warn him not to get involved. Before she can spit out those words, "your papa is alive," Helena shows up to show him the greatest scientific miracle ever. Meanwhile, Scott has remained in Luke's room and Luke goes in and out of time. Scott manages to ask him about the map he drew and the laboratory but Luke only provides cryptic clues. Helena takes Nikolas through the maze in the sub-basement to the door behind which his father waits!
