General Hospital Update for Friday, 5-Oct-2001

Friday has arrived again; and again it comes bearing good stuff...

SPENCER HOME:
(If you love me, you'll...)
Alexis wants to know what Laura and Stephan are up to. Scott chimes in with "You can trust me". Laura takes Scott out on the porch where she tells him, she needs him to trust her on this, and she doesn't want him involved. Scott says he IS involved, cause he is involved with her. Scott reminds her they've known each other forever, and if she can't trust him, do they even have a relationship? Laura shows a little backbone as she tells Scott that she has made a decision and wants him to respect it. Scott shoves off, a little upset (And rightfully so…although I can't help thinking he should have known how Laura would react, since Luke is involved).
(He's B A C K...)
Laura stonewalls Alexis who assumes the worst and thinks Stephan's life is in danger. She tells Laura that she is going to have Stephan security increased. Alexis guesses that a jailbreak is in the works when Laura reacts badly to her suggestion. Alexis tells Laura that she would rather Stephan end up in prison, than have him on the run. Seeing no other choice, Laura tells Alexis that Stavros is alive. Alexis refuses to believe and explains away the evidence as Helena's doings. Laura gives Alexis the details of the disks and says she has seen him twice. Alexis thinks Stephan is delusional and has transferred it to Laura. She doesn't believe Laura when she tells her Stavros killed Chloe and the DNA test proves it. Alexis leaves saying that she WILL have Stephan' security increased, despite Laura's warning that she will only make things worse.

PCPD JAIL:
(Show me yours, and I'll show you mine...)
Jax visits Stephan (on the sly) and wants to know why Stephan suddenly entrusted his sister's safety to him, since they hate each other. Stephan tells Jax that he has no idea what he's up against. Stephan will tell Jax the details, but only if Jax will break him out. Jax of course refuses, tells Stephan he'll make sure he rots in prison. Stephan warns that if Jax doesn't help, Kristina and Alexis will end up like Chloe. Jax splits when the guard announces a visitor (legally this time). It's Scott who tries to trick Stephan by saying Laura sent him to help. Stephan doesn't buy it, and doesn't give Scott any information, other than that he (Stephan) is the only one who can help Laura. Later Laura visits Stephan and tells him the break will have to be tonight, because Alexis is planning to increase the security around him. Stephan is upset when Laura confesses she told Alexis all.

PC HOTEL:
(What have we here...)
Jax breaks into Helena's suite. He looks through her desk and takes pictures of some papers he finds. After a little more rummaging, he finds a silver case containing a syringe and a vial. He wonders what she is planning.

ON THE DOCKS:
(Better things to do...)
Lucien(Stavros) questions Gia regarding her trust in him. Gia says she does trust him. She didn't tell Lucky Nik was trying to kill Liz. She just told him that Nik and Liz are together and she wanted him to break it up, but Lucky laughed in her face. Lucien says he knows a way to get Gia's mind off Nik. He kisses her and offers to take her back to her room. Gia refuses Lucien's invite saying she has a poetry reading to go to.

PCPD:
(If at first you don't suceed...)
Gia waits for Taggart. Another cop tells her he is out on a case and could be gone for hours. Gia wants him found ASAP; it's a matter of life and death. When the (good looking) cop asks whose life, Gia spills the story in a way only she can; fast and confusing.

ON THE YAHCT:
(Guess who's coming to dinner...)
Lucky makes snide remarks while Nik plays the 'Prince' and puts his brother down. Liz tells Lucky to leave; he doesn't belong there. Lucky tells her she doesn't belong there either as Nik and Helena are planning to kill her. Lucky tells Liz the food is poisoned then taunts Nik to prove otherwise by eating some himself. Seeing an apple he says, that's more Helena's style and offers to cram it down Helena's throat. He throws the trays of food to the floor and knocks Liz's drink out of her hand. Nik orders Lucky to leave but Lucky refuses unless Liz goes with him. Nik and Lucky get into a fistfight; Lucky ends up unconscious. Helena orders her goons to take Lucky and dump him somewhere. Nik orders them not to hurt Lucky, just dump him somewhere safe. Nik wants to draw the evening to an end since the food is ruined, but Helena and Liz insist on continuing. Helena thinks a toast is in order. She and Liz chat while Nik concocts another drink for Liz. After passing out the drinks, Nik offers a special toast. Helena watches in horror as Liz and Nik sip from each other's glass, then trade them completely. Helena watches Nik, as Liz refuses more wine. While Helena quizzes Nik on how he is feeling, Liz starts to feel dizzy. Now Helena understands; the 'poison' was in Nik's glass along. Helena and a 'tortured' Nik watch as Liz sites her complaints, then 'dies'. (It was done quite nicely…pretty believable). Helena checks Liz's pulse and pronounces her gone. She calls her goons to remove the body. Nik won't let them take her, and tells the guards that from here on out, he's calling the shots, not Helena. He then informs Helena that he's going to keep his promise to Liz, he going to take her sailing one last time. Helena says she understands and is proud, He IS now the CASSADINE. After Helena and goons depart, Nik cries and pleads with the still unconscious Liz to return. But, alas, Liz shows no visible signs of life.

DOWN ON THE DOCKS:
(The best laid plans...)
Stavros happens upon the goons, dumping a bound and gagged (still unconscious) Lucky. He orders them to disregard Helena's orders and they leave Lucky with him. As Stavros waits for Lucky to come to, he ponders what to do with him, after the trouble Lucky has caused him. (Cut to next scene-When we return, Stavros and a now conscious Lucky are standing on the waterfront *Same place Lucky threw the Ice Princess from*) . Stavros calmly says to him "I know my mother has plans for you, but plans change". Then he pushes/throws Lucky into the water as he says "I told you, you were to annoying to let live." …
(Did I mention that Lucky was still bound and gagged?)

WYNDEMERE:
(Have to see/hear it, to belive it...)
Helena and Stavros gloat as she tells him how Nik came through the test. Helena looses a bit of her smugness when Stavros mentions he threw Lucky in the water and says he sank like a stone.
(One has to wonder why they choose Stephan's office to celebrate in, but it becomes obvious by what happens next.)
Alexis is about to enter Stephan's office when she hears Helena's comment on Nik. This causes her to pause in her actions, but what she hears next astonishes her. She hears Stavros' voice as he says, "Yes, My son is worthy of the throne".

Speaking of which; Rumor has it that Sonny is getting a sister.
