1. Ned’s Residence (Quartermaine Gatehouse) - “Ned, Meet Your New Roommate” - Jax stops by to see Ned and comments on the clutter. Ned says he’s trying to catch up on L&B work. He’s not happy to hear that Alexis is still defending Stefan, even after the results of the DNA test. Jax steers the conversation around to how empty the gatehouse seems and how lonely Ned must be and how would he like a roommate? Ned thinks Jax is talking about himself and says “no way.” Jax says it’s someone else he needs to hide. He opens the door and calls Kristina out of hiding. Before he can introduce the two, Ned and Kristina reveal they’ve already met. Jax tells Ned that no one can know this woman is connected to him; it’s dangerous. Since no one would want to hurt Ned (which Ned takes as an insult), she should be safe with him. Ned wants to know why she’s in hiding. Kristina spins some tale about having an affair with the Prince of Tunisia and then writing about it in a tell-all book. She says the Queen wants her in prison. Ned says she better come up with a better story. She tries again, saying she’s a journalist doing a story on Eddie Main. Ned complains that Jax wants to stash his girlfriend, and Kristina bursts out laughing at the idea that she and Jax are involved. Ned tells Jax she can’t stay if he doesn’t know who she is. Jax says Helena is after him (what else is new, Ned counters) and he doesn’t want to put this woman in the crossfire. You put Alexis there, Ned accuses. Jax responds that Alexis knows this woman and would consider it a personal favor if Ned would help her. Ned reluctantly agrees to let Kristina stay, only to have her reject the idea. Ned goes to take a shower and lets her and Jax hash it out. Kristina complains that Jax has been dragging her from place to place; she doesn’t feel grateful for that. She also comments that Alexis is still hung up on Ned; she could tell from the way they acted at the police station. Jax says Alexis almost married Ned and he thinks he still loves her. Ned hates me, Kristina says, but he is her almost-brother-in-law. When Ned returns, she accepts his offer and introduces herself as Kristina, much to Jax’ dismay.
2. Port Charles Jail - “Stavros Can’t Be Alive!” - Laura comes to visit Stefan and tells him how she saw Stavros’ reflection in a mirror the night before. Then the lights went out and she felt his breath on her neck. She screamed and Lucky and Roy burst in. The stranger got away. She shows Stefan the medallion Roy found, and Stefan confirms it’s Stavros’. Laura says again that it could be Helena playing tricks on them. Stavros can’t be alive; it’s impossible! Stefan urges Laura to leave the country with her mother and daughter; he can’t protect her from a jail cell. Laura says she would never leave without knowing where Luke is. Again she says Helena can’t awaken the dead. Then she remembers that “awaken” was one of the headers she and Luke discovered on the disks. Stefan asks her to bring him the disks. Laura says she thinks she knows someone who can help her and leaves, promising to return soon.
3. Underground Lab - “Working Out” - We see Stavros doing a martial arts exercise routine in the lab and then the scene shifts to . . .
4. Cassadine Yacht - “Let the True Heir Stand Up” - Nikolas is on his yacht doing a martial arts exercise routine. Gia appears in the doorway and watches, startled, as Nikolas breaks a table in two with his arm. She hides when Helena comes aboard, calling for Nikolas. Nikolas wants to know what Helena is doing there. She presents him with his father’s ornate ring. Nikolas accepts it but says he wants everything that is rightfully his. Still angry about Elizabeth, Helena points out that a woman ruined his father’s life; she says she doesn’t want Nikolas to let the same thing happen to him. She warns him that Elizabeth still wants Lucky and can’t be trusted. You need a woman who will share our vision, Helena says. MY vision is the only one that matters, Nikolas retorts. Elizabeth is trying to save Lucky, Helena continues. From what? Nikolas is quick to ask. What else have you programmed him to do? Helena will only say that her plans for Lucky are part of a grander scheme. Nikolas says he is ready to be the prince and won’t wait any longer. Helena seems impressed by his little speech and says he appears ready, but what will he do to get his entitlement? Nikolas plays the arrogant prince a little longer, saying his own mother wanted him to live like a peasant and his brother was as mindless as the rest of the Spencers. He says that when she gave him the picture of his father something awakened in him; he wants to make his father proud. Helena says she will give him one final opportunity to prove himself. Stalling, she goes on about how she loves him, how he’s grown into the man the family wanted him to be. She tells him all his sacrifices will be worth it when he ruling an empire unlike any the world has ever seen. But, she says again, he must first prove himself worthy. What is the test? an impatient Nikolas demands. Gia listens carefully from her hiding spot . . .
5. Felecia’s House - “Desperate Times” - Felecia can’t believe when Laura shows up at her door and asks if she has the disks. She asks if something has happened to Luke. Laura says he disappeared. Felecia realizes Helena did something to him; that’s why he treated her like he did. She berates herself for not realizing this sooner (well, you have to take a vacation sometime). Yes, she has the disks, she tells Laura; she stole them before she left for Texas, because she was afraid Luke was acting too crazy and might let them fall into the wrong hands. Laura also asks to borrow her laptop (wouldn’t a CEO have her own laptop?). Felecia says of course, anything that might help Luke.
6. Spencer House - “Don’t Give Up on Love” - Liz (again in black, with a strategically-placed, oversized handbag in tow) arrives to see Lucky. She tries to get him to run away with her. He says he doesn’t want her to save him. She says she needs him to save HER. Helena won’t let up about the Ice Princess, she explains. We need to hide, she urges. Lucky says they’re strangers; let Nikolas save you. Or you can go to your parents or Sonny. Liz points out that he must still care if he wants her to be safe. Lucky tells Liz about his childhood on the run, how his dad would always say they had “to run away to live to fight another day.” Well, it’s time to stay and fight, Lucky says. Liz reminds him about their plans to live in New York City. He recalls their “permanent lock” pledge. Heartened, Liz tries to bring his feelings out. Lucky says he feels enough to let her go. Trying to save me is part of love, Liz points out. Their love will not end, she says. She leaves, with Lucky following her out to the porch, looking like he wants to call her back . . .
7. Back in Stefan’s Cell - “Stavros Could be Alive!” - Laura brings Stefan the laptop and disks and the two of them work their way through the levels she and Luke had gone through before. They get as far as “warming.” Then Stefan tries “Lazarus” and opens up a screen of medical text. He reads it, telling Laura it’s about cryogenics. Helena has done it, he says; she’s brought Stavros back to life! Laura looks horrified.
