General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 19-Sep-2001

Ok gang - I'm a first timer so have mercy....

She likes 'em Sweaty
Helena's stalking Jax in the hallway outside his penthouse. Busy morning, he's already raided her U.K. holdings before his a.m. run and protein shake. Darling, who's the mysterious woman you've got stashed in your suite? None of your damn business - by the way, did you check with your broker this morning Helena? She gives him the narrow eye/flaring nostril glare and huffs off.

She ain't heavy, she's our sister -
Inside Jax's abode, Stefan, Alexis and Kristine are catching up. Stefan actually manages to look fairly relaxed (for him) and wonder of wonders - cracks a smile. Enter Jax, we've got trouble, Helena's suspicious, she knows I've got someone living here the Hotel Management doesn't know about. Everyone speculates about what Helena possibly knows while Jax continues to cast doubt of Stefan's innocence in the murder of Chloe. Hello? Jax, you didn't care enough to send the poor thing a candygram when she was abducted, suddenly you're the aussie avenger?!

Can't win for losing -
Poor Carly - reading the accounts of Sorel's impending planting, she AGAIN reiterates (to herself) that she pulled the plug and she'd do it again. Taggert, of course, walks in while the words are still hanging in the air (this guy should go to the Carly Corinthos School of Eavesdropping). Anyway, he tries to fluster her and get her to defend herself from Angel's (supposed) accusations. Enter Angel, who saves Carly's butt (?) by announcing that yes, Carly's a lousy driver. The two actually gang up and belittle Taggert's Mayberry-esque interrogation style. Taggert leaves with something tucked between his legs... meanwhile Angel throws Carly a few zingers about using a child to hold onto Sonny. Meow.

Send him to his room, Sonny -
Sonny's associates present a sulky A.J. to their boss, who's apparently enjoying the fine cuisine available in an abandoned meat packing plant. Tsk, tsk - don't you ever learn A.J., when Michael misbehaves, Carly gives him a time out to think about what he's done. Carly's a bad mother, blah, blah, blah, my attorney's gonna make her pay - that is, if he ever stops sniffing after Laura long enough. Jeez A.J. - didn't they teach you at that fancy boarding school not to threaten a mob boss when he's got you tied up in a meat packing plant??

I'll have some toast, juice and chase it down with a Tums -
Alan and Monica are mushy this a.m. - for about 5 seconds anyway. Enter Edward who's enough to give anyone indigestion, then Ned who's obviously the only one who truly misses Chloe. The maid lets Zander in - Edward is ticked. He's signed himself out of GH. Where to live now, that's the question. The gatehouse, PC Jail, How about the east wing??? Alan, where did that come from - and don't foget, it's Monica's house! Alan KNOWS that Zander didn't kill Sorel, therefore he's prepared to be lenient. In the lull in conversation, Ned asks Edward just where HE was that fateful night. Lame excuse Edward, better come up with something a little better before Mac and Taggert show up.

Just Hanging Around
Back at the plant, Sonny goes over all the mistakes A.J. has made, including the fact that to save his own skin, he sacrificed his rights to be with Michael EVER. Does the word "arsonist" ring a bell? Let's make a deal, you stay out of little Michael's life for good, and I might let you live. In the meantime, why don't I just hang you on a hook? That'll teach you to upset Carly and call my soon-to-be ex-wife Trash.

The Ex- Files -
Jax and Alexis have words over Stefan's presence. Alexis swears that Stefan had nothing to do with Chloe's death and she'll prove it. "We have to remember that Helena's the enemy here." Here's Mac... Alexis shifts into her lawyer mode, says no to the DNA test, but Stefan thinks he's got nothing to lose by taking it. Jax smarts off and asks Alexis to stop representing her bro. She's torn. Jax makes a call to Angel asking for her help.

Hi Mike -
This guy must need a scorecard to know which of Sonny's women he likes this week. He pops in at Carly's where the girls are still snipping at each other. Angel's got to go - time to bury Pop. "Have fun" says Carly - tacky, tacky. By the way, if Angel did see Carly in Daddy's room the night he was murdered, why didn't she call a nurse or something....hmmmmm?

On Walden Pond -
Jax and Kristina show up at Angel's but she's not back from the burial yet. Why does he think Kristina will be safe there - the place is like Grand Central Station, and NOBODY ever checks those lovely bushes for eavesdropping mob wives. Jax exits, out pops Mrs. Corinthos, knock knock - "Oh hi, I'm a friend of Angel's - who're you?"
