General Hospital Update for Monday, 10-Sep-2001

At the jail...

Alexis shows up to bail Stefan out. He announces his plans of going to Chloe's wake and Alexis strongly advises him against doing that. She admits that she doesn't think he killed Chloe but wants him to keep quiet and stay out of trouble.


In the Hospital Lab...

Stavros is getting ready to see Laura, to the tune of "I'm Too Sexy." (no comment) He selects the right bottle of wine, the right aftershave and takes off. Fresh from Laura's office, Lucky breaks into the lab to try to find some answers. Voices keep running through his head, but he can't seem to make sense out of any of them. One of Helena's goons shows up and tells Lucky he isn't supposed to be in there alone. Lucky is holding a vial of the biotoxin and uses it as a weapon against the goon. The goon backs away in fear and Lucky realizes its importance. He puts it back in the wine rack and leaves.


In Laura's office...

Lucky has warned Laura the monster is back, he's not dead, but Laura doesn't understand. She leaves a message for Kevin. Meanwhile, Stavros is lurking outside the door. Laura hears a noise and comes to see who is there. Scott conveniently arrives at that moment and she thinks he was lurking. Scott charms Laura and apologizes and they leave together. A frustrated Stavros goes into her office, leaves the bottle of wine on her desk and goes through her address file until he finds Scott's card. Stavros laughs wickedly to himself.


At the funeral home...

Jax tells Sonny to leave. Sonny makes a snide comment to Jax: "I guess you forgot to rescue her--that's twice in a row, isn't it?" (ouch!). Jax runs after him to slug him but Ned holds him back. Angel asks Sonny what that was all about. Carly asks Sonny if they can talk, but Sonny says no. AJ goads Carly, saying he will get his son back. Mac & Taggert set up a bug on Sorel's coffin, so they are listening when Carly & Angel are alone in the room talking. Carly tells Angel about Jax & Sonny's past with Brenda, even though Angel said she wasn't interested. Afterwards, the women threaten each other some more and Angel has some cryptic words for Carly, "I know, I saw." Taggert & Mac are listening in, all the while. Meanwhile, the Quartermaines and Jax eulogize Chloe. Jax says there is no doubt as to who killed Chloe, meaning Stefan. Who should then show up but Stefan himself? Nik & Liz are there, too, discussing their inability to retrieve the Ice Princess. Nikolas is upset that he isn't allowed to show his feelings. When Jax & the Quartermaines start fighting with Stefan and demanding he leave, Nikolas sort of stands up for him. Stefan stops, realizing that Nikolas just showed an ounce of caring. Nikolas tries to write it off and then leaves. Gia goes after him. Meanwhile, Ned tells Alexis that Stefan should not be there. Stefan wants to go after Helena. Alexis asks him to stay outside, she will say good-bye to Chloe for both of them, and then they will go find Helena together. When Alexis finishes saying her good-byes to Chloe, she finds Stefan has disappeared. Also, Taggert stops Carly and tells her she is a suspect and they have a witness. She, of course, thinks the supposed witness is Angel, but when they tell her she is wrong, she realizes it is AJ.


On the docks....

Nikolas is crying on a bench. Gia comes upon him and makes a sarcastic remark about there still being hope for him.


At Sonny's office...

Sonny is getting information about the search for Sorel's killer from one of his men. Angel shows up and says she has something to tell him about Carly. Before she can get it out, Taggert shows up and asks Angel what she knows about Carly.
