General Hospital Update for Monday, 3-Sep-2001

THE CEMENTRY:
Stephan realizes that Stavros' grave is EMPTY!

THE HOSPITAL:
Melissa enters Chloe's room and discovers she is missing. Roy arrives and seeing that Melissa is worried about Chloe helps her look for the missing patient. They run into Alan who promises to make some calls in the effort to find her. Mac arrives and questions Melissa over why she lied about walking out of Sorrel's surgery. One of the other nurses told the police that Melissa said Sorrel should be dead, before she walked out. Melissa is surprised when Mac tells her he knows Sorrel ordered the hit on Leo. In trying to defend Melissa, Roy brings Mac's attention to himself, and is put on the spot when Mac asks him to explain what HE was doing in Sorrel's room that night. Mac informs Roy that forensics found fibers in the room that have been traced back to Roy's clothing!

PORT CHARLES HOTEL:
Helena is livid, and tells her goon that if the Ice Princess is not back in an hour she will hold HIM responsible. He asks her who was recently in the room. She names two suspects - Jax & Liz. When Helena steps out into the hallway she runs into Gia who has some choice putdowns for Physco-Granny. Gia has just informed Helena about the new man in her life Lucien Kane, when Stephan arrives and drags Helena into her room. Helena is shocked when Stephan demands to know where Stavros is! (She thinks he knows Stavros is alive). She does however realize that Stephan is only talking about the empty grave and tells him she just wanted him and the Spencers to be "haunted by Stavros memory" that's by she pretended to move Stavros' body to PC. Stephan reiterates his intent to dissolve the Cassadine Empire, there by leaving Helena powerless. He informs Helena that he will be leaving tonight (with Chloe) and she can 'GO TO HELL'.


THE BOX CAR:
Liz tries to get through to Lucky using the Ice Princess but does not seem to be gaining any ground. Lucky continues to push her away. He tells her she has no idea what is really going on. He grabs the IP and tells her he is going to get rid of it. She protests that he can't because it's the key to his brainwashing. She wants him to go see Kevin Collins for help again. Lucky coldly tells her that if Helena sees her with the IP she will make HIM hurt her like he hurt Luke. She tells him that Helena can't take over his soul, because their love is to strong and she will continue to fight for/with him even if it means her life.


JAX'S SUITE:
Kristina looks at pictures of Kristin and Alexis and waits to hear from Jax.
ALEXIS' PENTHOUSE:
Alexis tells Jax he has been tricked, the person he thinks is Kristina is a phony because she is sure Kristina is dead. She tries to stop the conversation by bringing up Brenda. Jax insists and assures Alexis Kristina is the real thing. He had her investigated. Alexis has trouble accepting that Kristina IS alive and wants Jax to explain how he found her. Jax tells her they both hired the same woman to help them with their searches. (Could he be talking about Angel?) Alexis wants Jax to give her details about Kristina. Jax tells her to ask Kristina herself as she is waiting in his suite. Before they can leave the phone rings; it's Alan wondering if they know where the missing Chloe is. Alexis thinks she maybe at Wyndemere (and she is sooooo right!). Jax is sure that if she is there, Stephan took her forcibly (he is soooo wrong!). They decide to go to Wyndemere and check on Chloe, before they head over to Jax's suite and see Kristina.

WYNDEMERE:
Chloe tries to pretend that she is just waiting for Stephan but it is obvious she is scared. She tries to leave but Stavros stops her and begins to fill her in on what she already figured out. He picks up the album and turns to the page that has the picture of him and Baby Nik. Then formally introduces himself. Chloe pretends to be surprised and tentatively reaches out one hand to touch him. He tells her it's ok, she can touch him he is real! Suddenly she whips her other hand from behind her back and hits Stavros with a statuette. Stavros falls to the sofa. Chloe tries to run, but Stavros manages to stop her. Chloe pleads with him to let her and Stephan go. She will ask Stephan to go with her to Milan and she will never tell anyone about whom he really is. Stavros toys with her by pretending to consider this, but then tells her NO! Chloe pushes him away, calls him a bastard and says Stephan was right about him. Stavros turns and with an evil look in his eyes walks menacingly toward Chloe. Stephan arrives back at Wyndemere and enters the house. (Is he in time to save Chloe?)
