General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 21-Aug-2001

Bizarre is the word for today's General Hospital. First, Gia paid a visit to Alexis and Stefan to inform them that she is going to sue the Cassadines for what Nicholas has done to her. Weird since she knows that Nicholas has cut off both Alexis and Stefan. Stefan recognized the broach that Stavros gave Gia and associated it with Stavros.

Sonny told Carly that he was with Angel the entire time he was missing. Carly was infuriated. I found myself missing Sarah Brown tremendously. Carly called Angel names (honestly, most of them were fitting)and left.

Angel kept seeing the ghost of Sorel, which propelled her to the police station to claim the body. (Go figure.) She overheard Taggert and newly recommissioned Commissioner Scorpio saying they were going to get Sonny. She then called Sonny to warn him.

Mac and Taggert showed up at Sonny's warehouse and began questioning him about his whereabouts on the night of Sorel's murder. (As if a mob boss would carry out his own hit. . . Don't they watch the Sopranos?)

As a result of Helena's brain-washing, Lucky told Elizabeth that he no longer loved her. (Gee, I wish I could forget this storyline.) He told Nicholas that Elizabeth was all his. When Elizabeth finally got through whining, she told Nicholas that she saw Helena use the ice princess to brainwash Lucky.

On the docks, Lucky ran into Gia. He told her that he was done with Elizabeth. He then grabbed Gia and kissed her.

Finally, Jax visited a love-struck Helena. He told her that he had begun to raid the Cassadine holdings in Asia. He vowed to leave Cassadines penniless unless Helena told him how she planned to harm Alexis. Helena denied that she had any such plans. When Helena left her suite at the Port Charles Hotel, Jax broke into her room.
