General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 14-Aug-2001

Chloe is shocked to see Jax standing in front of her. She smacks Jax when he expresses concern about her relationship with Stefan. After questioning Jax, she realizes that Setfan wrote the "Dear Jane" letter and signed Jax's name to the letter. Jax states that he beleives Stefan hired a fake Brenda to lead him on a wild goose chase. When Stefan arrives, she tells he and Jax that she is through with both of them.

Bobbie attempts in vain to find Luke. Carly arrives at the Brownstone and Bobbie gives her a threatening note that she received in the mail. The note, addressed to Carly, threatens she and Michael. Carly takes the note to Sonny.

Sonny tells Carly that he will handle the situation. He says that if she really wants to help she should go and be with Michael. A.J., who is eavesdropping outside the door, learns that Sorel has threatened Michael. By the way, shouldn't a Mafia godfather have better security, so that people like A.J. aren't able to lie in wait outside of his door?

Anyway, at Luke's, Lucien a.k.a Stavros spies Elton handling Deception business on his cell phone. He attempts to pump Elton for information on Laura's whereabouts. Elton, although totally smitten with Stavros, refuses to disclose Laura's whereabouts.

The Q's receive a call informing them that someone broke into Emily's room. Emily is fine because an unknown man threw the intruder out of the window.

Alan visits Zander and gives him the news. Upon leaving Zander's room, Alan runs into Sonny. Alan accuses Sonny of trying to use Zander to finish Sorel off. Sonny informs Alan that he wants nothing more than to keep Emily and Zander safe. In fact, Sonny says, it was one of his men who threw the intruder out of the window.

When all has quieted down,Zander makes his way to Sorel's room. At the close of the show, Zander stands over Sorel's bed.
