General Hospital Update for Monday, 13-Aug-2001

At campsite...

Melissa & Roy try to lure the bear away from their campsite. Melissa gets him out of the way with a banana, but not before he takes off with the car keys. Roy & Melissa share a kiss and talk about how much they enjoyed camping, despite the chain of events.


At the brownstone...

Luke shows up, acting all crazy, begs Bobbie to hide him. She thinks he’s drunk; he reminisces about the past. Taggert shows up, looking for Luke, but Bobbie lies and says she hasn’t seen him. Luke pops out of his hiding place and Taggert threatens to arrest him for disturbing the peace. Bobbie manages to talk Taggert out of arresting Luke. She still can’t figure out what is wrong with him. He mentions that ice has brought the fires of hell and mentions Stavros, but Bobbie just thinks he’s crazy. Tony shows up and she asks him to check Luke out. Tony immediately figures out that Helena must have given him some sort of poison. He vows to find the antidote and tells Bobbie to check Luke into the hospital in the morning. Meanwhile, Luke has another of his dreams and as he reaches for the outstretched hands, comes to some sort of revelation. When Bobbie goes to check on Luke, he is gone!


At the auction...

Jacks’ (I swore it was spelled Jax until today's episode) appearance causes quite a stir. Alexis is happy to see him, Edward is concerned about ELQ, Skye and Gia are both intrigued and Ned wants to know where Brenda is. First things first, Jacks meets with Helena and tells her he wants to buy everything at the auction. She, too, is happy to see him, makes a snide comment about him not always following through with things, and accepts a check for the rest of the items. He expresses interest in the necklace, which Alexis overhears and wants to know what he knows about that necklace. He denies knowing anything. Ned asks again about Brenda, but Jacks has no time for that. He wants to see Chloe. Ned and Alexis fill him in on what happened to Chloe because of Stefan and he runs off to find her. Edward & Monica stop Jacks on his way out and warn him about ELQ matters, but he doesn’t have time for that, either. Ned & Alexis try to call Chloe and warn her, but she seems to have turned her cell phone off. Ned tries again to make an attempt with Alexis, wanting to find out why the necklace is so important to her. She just apologizes again for walking out on the wedding.



On Spoon Island...

Stefan has proposed to Chloe, but she doesn’t know what to say. She is doubtful about love. Alarms in the distance send him away, giving Stavros a chance to jump out of the shadows as Lucien. Chloe is, of course, surprised to see him. He acts very mysterious and gives Chloe some clue to drop to Stefan. When it works and she says it, Stefan is clearly unsettled. Chloe asks for time alone to think over the proposal. Alone for a while, she turns and Jacks is standing there. “It’s been awhile,” he says.


Miscellaneous...

At the Q house, Skye wants the lowdown on Jacks. AJ gives her some info….Stavros checks in with Helena and tells her of his plans to ruin Stefan….Gia expresses concern about Lucky to Liz and Nikolas but they tell her to mind her own business…..Mysterious female hands are seen handling Jacks’ property, including the necklace!!
