General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 8-Aug-2001

At the Auction

Taggert wonders aloud to Nikolas who is behind the necklace theft. He suggests that Stefan and Helena were working together. Nikolas says that is impossible. Gia shows up and asks her brother if Nikolas is going to be arrested. Seems she was hired to work the auction. Taggert warns her to stay away from Nikolas. Gia automatically assumed Nikolas was behind the hiring, but Nikolas realizes and Gia soon finds out that Helena was actually behind it. A test for Nikolas!! Gia is angry at first. Nikolas is rude. Gia decides to stay. They move into the auction room and sort of flirt, all the while being watched by Helena on a surveillance camera. She wants to see how Nikolas acts with Gia in private.


At the Quartermaine house

Monica is home and wants Skye out. She puts all the blame for what happened to Emily on Skye. When Alan says no way, she says fine, you are out too. She finally decides father and daughter will move to the West Wing of the house together. Ned threatens Skye, but she threatens him right back, telling him he might be her next target. He tells her one mistake was teaming up with AJ. When AJ & Skye are alone, Skye gets a cell phone call—from Carly!!


In Sonny’s Office

Mike has been beckoned there by Sonny and tells him that Carly lied to him, again, and there is no baby. We are through, Sonny insists. Mike tries to plead Carly’s case to Sonny, but he isn’t interested. Mike reminds Sonny that he isn’t perfect either. He also tells him that he doesn’t even know that much about this Angel woman, if that is the reason he is through with Carly.


At Angel’s Lake House

Carly, asleep on the couch, dreams of Sonny coming for her. When she awakens, she tells Angel how weird it is that her name is Angel, because she gave Sonny a guardian angel trinket. Angel realizes that trinket is sitting out in obvious display and carefully averts Carly’s attention and grabs it. The two women talk a bit, to get to know each other. Carly tells Angel she and Sonny are cityfolk and would never enjoy the lake cabin. (little does Carly know!) Angel admits that her husband died and she just recently met someone new, but it’s complicated. Carly encourages her to go for it. When Carly goes into the bedroom to “freshen up,” Sonny sees himself in to talk to Angel. She tells him to get lost, that Carly is there. He goes to hide on the porch until Carly leaves. When he comes back inside, he demands to know what Angel is up to. She is demure; Sonny shouts that he knows who she is!!



In Sorel’s hospital room

Melissa is sneaking around in there, watching him. Roy tells her she shouldn’t be there and pulls her out. He also tells her he is going to take her away with him. Later, Alan has summoned Taggert and tells him he wants Sorel moved to a prison hospital. Taggert says no can do, he will have to stay at GH a few more days. Alan is not happy with that decision.


On the road

Melissa & Roy are off on their trip and run out of gas. They have an encounter with a gas station/convenience store attendant but get out of it by Melissa’s quick thinking. Once they finally get to their campsite, they are amused to realize that neither of them has ever been camping before!


At Carly’s hotel room

Skye arrives and Carly tells her she does want her help in keeping Michael away from AJ. But, can she trust Skye?
