General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 7-Aug-2001

General Hospital was somewhat interesting today. Luke and Helena almost got busy, which left me feeling like I was watching an episode of The Twilight Zone. Actually, nowadays, General Hospital always leaves me feeling like I am watching an episode of The Twilight Zone. Luke wrapped Helena's scarf around her neck while they were engaged in a romantic embrace. Mental-Image-Luke tried to convince Physical- Image-Luke to strangle Helena when she wouldn't spill the beans about Lucky's kidnapping. Stavros walked in just in time to stop Luke from killing Helena or from doing something else WE might regret.

Stavros questioned Luke about whether Nicolas had really returned to the family. Mental-Image-Luke convinced Physical-Image-Luke to keep quiet about Nicolas. As Stavros began questioning him, Physical-Image-Luke started ranting about how much he hated Nicholas.

We discovered today that Elizabeth kidnapped Lucky, with Sonny's help. He's is now locked in the safehouse (that both Luke and Roy used previously). Hopefully, Sonny's involvement in protecting Lucky will reunite he and Luke as friends because Roy just doesn't cut it as Luke's best friend. I mean, Sonny would never have left Luke in the alley for three days, but I digress.

Gia stops by the cabin and finds Nicholas there. (And he is looking absolutely gorgeous. The stylists finally found a style that looks good on him). Gia informs Nicholas that she has a new boyfriend, an older man. They ramble on a little more and Nicholas offers to show Gia a picture of his father. She refuses to look at it. Nicholas and Gia actually begin to flirt with one another and look as though they are about to smooch when Liz busts in. Gia leaves in a huff. She then calls Stavros and asks him to attend Nicholas's auction with her.

Carly and Sonny went through their usual drama. Carly begged. Sonny refused. Carly pitched a fit, ran into Sorel's room and pulled the plug; all in an effort to demonstrate how much she loved Sonny. (I don't get it either). Angel, told Tony that she tripped over the plug. Carly and Sonny argue again. Carly runs to the elevators where she invites herself to stay with Angel. Angel agreed but told Carly that she could only stay one night.

Bobbie had a heart-to-heart with Sonny and told him that the only way to rid himself of Carly is to forgive her. (Hey, if it's that easy, we all forgive her!!).

Finally, MIA duo, Stefan and Chloe made a rare appearance today. (Chloe looked great. It appears that taping once a month agrees with her.) Stefan told Chloe that Nicholas has rejoined the family. She told him not to give up. In a bizarre twist, Chloe then began to quote things from Stefan's journal, the one he kept when he was a boy. The two then begin to kiss.
