General Hospital Update for Monday, 30-Jul-2001

Sorry it took so long to post THIS update! Computer was down, I couldn't even log on to cancel reservation.
But here it is!

SOME ALLEY:
Luke's body is dumped and whiskey is poured over him.

THE HOSPITAL:
Melissa freezes in the O.R. when she is asked by Dr.Jones for assistance. She remembers Roy telling her Sorrel ordered Leo's death and she also remembers seeing Leo's body in the morgue. When Tony has to call her again, she gets very upset and says that Sorrel should be dead. Then she does the worse thing an O.R. nurse can do: she leaves the O.R.

THE YACHT:
Helena and Nik toast his return to the family. Liz arrives and almost blows Nik's pretense, but they manage to cover and appear to convince Helena. After Liz leaves, Nik asks Helena about the mind control. She wonders why he is so interested in it.

THE BROWNSTONE:
Bobbie and Mike discuss Carly's possible pregnancy. Bobbie wants Carly away from Sonny and knows that will not happen if she IS pregnant. Bobbie says if Sonny really loves Carly, he would let her go. Mike warns her that if she fails to support Carly now, she may lose Carly for good.

SONNY'S OFFICE:
Sonny is upset at the thought of all the baby (& Carly) has been through. He tells Carly that even if the baby where to be born it doesn't have a prayer because nothing has changed. Not him, not her, not his lifestyle, or the danger. Carly tires to be optimistic about the change her pregnancy will have on their marriage, now Sonny can forgive her. Sonny lets her in on two things he learned as a child. From Mike and Deke, he learned that apologies are lies and therefore meaningless. From his mother he learned that forgiveness is permission to hurt you again. Carly starts to see that her news is not effecting Sonny the way she hoped and lets it slip that she only THINKS she is pregnant. Sonny accuses her of trying to manipulate him with lies, again and orders her to get pregnancy test done. Carly returns to the brownstone (apparently the possible pregnancy has made her delusional) because she goes on & on to Bobbie about how happy Sonny is, and how this fixes everything between them. Later she pulls a small stuffed bear and a pregnancy test from her bag.

LUKE'S CLUB:
Liz is looking for Luke; Felicia is waiting for Luke; but no one has seen him. Felicia fills Roy in on the incident with Helena at Laura's house and shows him the Cassadine amulet. Angel arrives; Roy greets her and thinks she looks familiar. Later he remembers her; she used to visit her husband at Pentonville. He was an inmate there when Roy was also there. Stavros (AKA Lucien) buys a round for the house in an attempt to engage Felicia in conversation. They sort of flirt, then he asks for her help…
retrieving messages from his cell phone. That done he leaves Felicia and returns a call from Gia. Angel calls the hospital to check on Sorrel's condition. Melissa arrives and confesses to Roy that she left the O.R. while Sorrel's life hung in the balance. She berates herself for being a bad person and wishing Sorrel where dead, and for not upholding her nursing oath. Roy tries to comfort her. After the bar closes, Roy cheers Melissa by playing the piano. They chat about her dream (see 7/2). Roy turns on the stereo and they dance. They look deeply into each other's eyes and are about to kiss…

PC GRILL:
Lucky is drowning his (unremembered) sorrows at the bar. In the dinning room Lucien (AKA Stavros) and Gia are having dinner. Gia is crying on Lucien's shoulder about how Nik dumped her for Liz. On his way out, Lucky notices them and approaches. He tries to get Gia to leave with him. When Lucien makes a comment about someone calling Lucky's FATHER, Lucky takes exception and starts to push Lucien around. This gets Lucky thrown out of the restaurant. Gia apologies for Lucky's behavior, but Lucien assures her there is no need and hugs her. Shortly after he tells her she is beautiful and can do better than Nik. Then he kisses her.

SONNY'S OFC:
Angel arrives with dinner in hand (complete with tablecloth and candles). She has changed her mind and now wants to take Sonny up on his earlier offer of dinner.
