General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 25-Jul-2001

GENERAL HoSPITAL had basically multi-plots today with twists and turns. Luke has come to in Laura's bedroom after having been knocked out by Stavros.The conniving Helena has asked her son not to kill him since THE SPENCER LINE will be eventually destroyed ,thus leaving the CASSADINES to rule The World. Of course, Luke has Felicia to take care of him. After seeing asphalt footsteps, he goes to a tar covered roof at GH.He finds no guards at first.He fights off one of Helena's henchmen and proceeds astonishingly through THE MAZE that he has had recurring dreams about.Is this A Dream or REALITY?
In the second plot Gia finds Nicholas comforting Elizabeth in his arms. Gia cries, rants, and accuses them of having an affair. Liz tries to explain,and then, rushes to explain the awkward situation to a Puzzled Lucky. A hurt Gia beats her to it. Then, Nicholas says the truth is that" I have stepped aside too often for you, Lucky." "I have always loved Elizabeth." Is this going to resolve the issue? Not really. It is simply adding to the complexity of what Nicholas is trying to do to protect Lucky from Helena's mind control. He has gone to the EXTREME to disentangle himself from Gia, Lucky, Alexis, and Stefan to gain favor with his zany grandmother. Will his plot with Luke backfire?Only Liz knows what is occurring with Nicholas per se.Yet all who care for Nicholas agree that he has changed due to his wicked granmother's influence. He has blown everyone away.The third plot deals with Ned's conning an unknowing Zander into admitting to Alan that Skye had given him and Emily money to leave Port Charles.Thus, Emily has ended up in REHAB, perhaps, never to walk again due to the terrible bus accident. Ned says "Skye did this to get rid of Emily-the competition." At first, Alan doesn't want to believe this, but as Zander reveals the tale of woe, Alan becomes incensed. He lets Skye have it with all his forcefulness until AJ defends her. AJ says that he can identify with her pain. He said that Alan's choosing his GOLDEN BOY Jason to love was hurtful to him . Then, all of AJ"S hurt,anger, and resentment hit Alan like a bombshell. Skye departs ,and Alan finds her at an AA meeting baring "HER SOUL".
As the scenarios end for today, the viewers see Luke entering Helena's lab ,which is housed 30 floors under the room Stavros died in at GH.Among the toxins, viruses, bio chemicals, test tubes, etc., an anxious Luke sees Stavros when Helena lifts the veil from the coffin-like structure that Stavros is lying in. Helena says "LET THE GAMES BEGIN".WHAT AN EERIE SIGHT LUKE BEHOLDS!"
