General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 24-Jul-2001

Quartermaine House...

Ned makes his allegations against Skye. She admits that she was jealous and did want Emily gone, but stops short of admitting anything else. Alan and Edward hug her and accept it, but Ned vows to prove he's right. AJ admires Skye and tells her they are a team. He even rips up Emily's letter.


Zander's hospital room...

Alan has gone to visit Zander and brings him news from Emily. Ned shows up and leads Zander to believe that Skye confessed about giving the kids money to run. Zander doesn't realize Ned is conning him and gives up info, about Skye giving them money and about Emily's letter. Zander tries to stick up for Skye, but Ned has been proven right and Alan is furious.


Laura's House...

Luke is unconscious and Helena taunts Stavros to go ahead and finish the job, kill Luke. She reminds him that Luke won't even know who his killer is. Stavros backs off and decides to go ahead with Helena's plan for now. He leaves his Cassidine medallion in Luke's hands. Felicia shows up (after Luke apparently called her) and she tries to figure out what happened and who hit Luke. She uses physics to determine trajectory and height of the assailant. She determines to find out who the medallion belongs to. They also find footprints made of tar and wonder where around the hospital there would be tar.


Nikolas' Cottage...

Nikolas is playing the sax when Alexis shows up. They have a friendly conversation. Alexis realizes that Gia is gone and asks what part Helena played in Gia being gone. Nikolas denies everything. Stefan shows up and Nikolas goes ballistic, yelling at the two of them for teaming up against him. He is rude and pompous and tells them to be gone when he gets back downstairs. Stefan & Alexis wonder what is up. Stefan goes off to find Lucky.


Port Charles Hotel...

Gia has some sort of press conference and introduces herself as looking "all-new." Have no idea what is supposed to look different about her, but the photographers and reporters buy it. Liz realizes that Nikolas dumped her and that is why Gia is acting sort of manic. Lucky and Liz try to break up the press conference, especially when all the reporters ask about Nikolas. Finally, Gia explains things are over between the prince and herself. She runs out of the room crying. Lucky comforts her, telling her that sometimes you love people who don't deserve to be loved. Stefan shows up, sees Lucky with Gia and apologizes to Gia. She doesn't accept it, telling Stefan he got what he wanted.


Back at Nikolas' cottage...

Alexis (who is still there when Nikolas comes back downstairs) tells Nikolas he better stop what he's doing before it becomes seriously out of hand. She reminds him of how dangerous Helena is. Liz shows up then and Alexis leaves. Liz is ecstatic and thanks Nikolas so much for breaking up with Gia in order to save Lucky.


Helena's Hospital Lab...

Stavros wants to know more about this biotoxin and some unlucky fellow falls victim to the stuff. We see Helena and Stavros toasting its success.


Hospital Roof...

Luke is poking around, trying to find something. He kicks a big structure in the middle of the roof and suddenly a door opens!!
