General Hospital Update for Monday, 23-Jul-2001

Things are really starting to heat up in the Spencer/Cassadine war. Read on...

AT THE HOSPITAL:
Carly visits Zander, she apologies for always treating him badly and thanks him for trying to save her in spite of her behavior towards him. On her way out of Zander's room, she realizes that Sorrel is in the room across the hall. She tries to enter and is stopped by a police guard and Tony. She gets hysterical and yells that Tony only saved Sorrel because he wants Sorrel to kill Sonny. Tony threatens to call security if Carly does not calm down.

AT THE Q HOUSE:
After yet another verbal put down of AJ, Alan calls Edward out to the terrace and warns him that if Edward does not back off of HIS children's cases, Alan will cut him out of his life FOREVER. Edward takes the threat to heart and agrees to stop harassing the Q kids (all of them).
Inside, AJ and Skye make plans to put HER plan to get Michael back into motion. No sooner does AJ leave than Ned arrives and tries to trick Skye into revealing what AJ is holding over her. He has a letter from Emily (for Zander). At first Skye thinks that it is THE letter, but does not say so. Surprisingly Ned has figured out most of the story on his own, but Skye scoffs at his theory. She takes Emily's letter and heads for the hospital.

BACK AT GH:
Skye greets a groggy Zander, and is happy to hear that HE does not blame her for Emily's condition. She reads him the letter, skipping over the mushy parts (at Zander's request). Outside AJ arrives in time to stop Tony from calling security, and tries to calm Carly. She is suspicious, especially when he tells her that he has changed his mind and is no longer suing for custody. He tells her that if she had died, he would not know where to find Michael and has realized that Michael's safety and happiness are most important. Carly demands to know what he wants. AJ tells her that since she and Sonny are over, maybe they can come to an agreement over sharing Michael. Carly starts to yell at him that she and Sonny are not over. Skye arrives and with a few words sends AJ running. Carly asks if she is AJ's new woman. Skye tells her that she is the newest Q. She reveals that she and AJ don't get along and would be glad to help Carly with whatever to get back at AJ.

BACK AT THE Q HOUSE:
Alan reads a letter from Emily aloud to the family. Ned arrives and spills the beans, Or rather he gives Edward and Alan his version of the events the night of the bus accident. Alan doubts Ned's theory. Edward demands proof. Ned does not have any but knows how to get it, they should call Emily get to the bottom of the story. Sky arrives in time to hear Ned's suggestion and panics in to yelling "NO, DON"T DO THAT"!

AT THE COTTAGE:
Luke arrives and tells Nik to find out where Helena is hanging out and what she is up to. Nik is too upset (over Gia) to play nice and demands to know if it is true Luke will really be there for him, or was it just a lie to get Laura to leave town. Luke tells him it was both. Suddenly Gia arrives and the have to pretend to be fighting. She angrily tells them no one else even cares about the Spencer/Cassadine feud. After Luke leaves Nik tells Gia he is moving to the yacht and since the cottage is leased through the end of the year, she should stay. Gia refuses and packs. After venting her hurt with angry words, she tries to give Nik a check for back rent, which he tears up. After Gia leaves, Nik breaks down and cries.

AT ANGEL'S HOUSE:
Angel holds the guardian angel figurine and is lost in deep thoughts. Sonny arrives and they talk about how their time together is over. Sonny lets Angel know he saw her at Sorrel's side at the hospital. She gives a non-explanation. She knew him before the lust for power changed him in to what he is now and just wanted to see if that man was still there. She comments that she knew (deep down) he would return to Carly. Sonny responds he is NOT returning to Carly, but to his business. She lets Sonny know that she knows he is not like Sorrel and he is welcome back if he ever needs a place to hide out, or even if he doesn't.

AT THE SPENCER HOME:
Stavros makes himself at home in Laura's bedroom, awaiting her return. Someone does finally arrive, but to his irritation it is only mommy dearest. Helena is angry that Stavros is risking being found out over LAURA, as she is not worth it. Stavros shows his true colors and tells Helena he doesn't love Laura. But she is his wife and therefore belongs to him, and he will have her back. He tells Helena that he is grateful to her for bring him back to life, but if she interferes with his plans for Laura, or harms Laura in anyway he will SNAP HER NECK AND BE DONE WITH IT! They hear someone enter and think it is finally Laura. However, it is Luke. As he walks around downstairs he feels that something is not right and heads for the bedroom. There he finds Helena and they do that flirting thing they do. Luke tries to sweet talk Helena into telling him everything she is doing. Suddenly (unseen by Luke) Stavros is behind him and hits Luke with a candlestick. Luke crumples to the ground at Helena's feet.

My thoughts...
Could Angel be SORREL's daughter?
Is Sonny really through with Carly?
Could Sonny feel they same way about Alexis as she does about him? (I think that would be great!)
Should AJ get Michael back?
Is Luke's luck taking a turn for the worse?
& Who will save him? Lucky? Nik? Roy? Felicia? Laura? Or will he manage to save himself yet again?
