General Hospital Update for Thursday, 19-Jul-2001

At the penthouse...

Carly tries to get Sonny to realize what it was like for her with him gone, her fear that AJ would take Michael away, etc... Sonny notices she has a bruise on her face and wonders what Sorel did to her. Carly says it doesn't matter. She says to him, all that matters is that we are together. All she wants in life is to be with him. He gives her his jacket and they embrace. He tells her that he doesn't want to keep hurting her, but she doesn't ever give up. She says second chances are important and asks him to take her back.


Outside the penthouse...

Bobbie frets to Roy that she shouldn't have left Carly alone with Sonny. Roy reminds her that Carly wouldn't have changed her mind. Mike shows up and asks for word about Sonny; they reassure him that Sonny is fine, but argue about what's best for Sonny and Carly. Roy mentions that the city is going to get crazy, that's what happened in Chicago. Bobbie realizes that Roy knew Sorel in Chicago and asks him if he had anything to do with what happened to Leo. Roy looks away. After Mike leaves, Bobbie and Roy try to figure out what happened between them. She apologizes to him.


At the hospital...

Nikolas asks Gia how her brother is doing. She tries to get him and Lucky to make amends, but they just argue some more and Lucky storms off angry. Stefan walks up then and asks Nikolas what is up with him rejoining the family. Nikolas starts a fight with him, also. Gia is very confused. They head up to the roof to talk. Meanwhile, Stefan sees Helena and asks her what she is holding over Nikolas. Alexis overhears and knows something must be up because Nikolas would never willingly go back to the family. Helena just gloats that Nikolas is turning into his father. Alexis & Stefan warn her to stay away from Nikolas. Alone, Stefan tells Alexis that they need to protect Nikolas.


On the hospital roof...

Gia wants an explanation for Nikolas' behavior. He ends up breaking up with her. He leads her to believe that he was just captivated by her beauty, but they wouldn't work as a couple. She isn't suitable for a prince. Gia screams, "Screw you!!" and storms off. Nikolas stays up on the roof, crying his eyes out.


On the docks...

Elizabeth tells Lucky he shouldn't be too angry with Nikolas, but Lucky asks why she is taking his side and defending him. Stavros shows up and helps Elizabeth pick up something she's dropped. Lucky freaks out and tells him to get lost. Stavros apologizes, remarks that Lucky looks familiar (maybe I know your parents? Stavros muses) and leaves. Elizabeth doesn't understand Lucky's reaction because the guy seemed nice enough. "Who goes out walking the docks?" Lucky wonders. "We do," reminds Elizabeth. She gets a bright idea and suggests they elope. Lucky decides that's not a good idea. Meanwhile, Stavros moves down the docks and comes upon an upset Gia.
