General Hospital Update for Monday, 2-Jul-2001

IN HOLLYWOOD:
Laura tells Scott she had a wonderful time and wishes it was not ending. Scott tells her that it doesn't have to... yet. When Laura hesitates, he asks her if she is unsure because she doesn't know where their relationship is going. Laura admits that in a way it is because of Luke. After two children and half of her life spent with him it is just too soon for her. Scott tells her he is willing to wait as long as it takes.


AT GH:
(2nd floor nurses' station):
AJ gets a message from Sonny via Johnny; Leave Carly & Michael alone or he WILL have to deal with Sonny.

(In Emily's room):
Everyone is thrilled to see that Emily has moved her foot. Alan slips into "doctor" mode and performs a few simple tests. He gets great results but can not assure Emily will NOT be paralyzed. Skye arrives just as Monica asks where Emily got so much money (they found it among her belonging after the accident). AJ arrives just in time to hear Emily "confess" that she stole the money from Skye's purse. She asks to apologize to Skye in private. Both Em & Zander let her know that they won't tell she GAVE them the money. Unseen by the three, AJ observes the scene from the doorway. Also outside of Emily's room one of the "Guards" calls Sorrel and reports that he hasn't gotten a chance to get the job done, but promises he will. Later AJ also observes as Alan and Skye bond over concern for Emily. After Alan leaves AJ approaches and tells her he knows she is up to something, she is being to nice to Emily, considering Emily stole from her. Later he rifles through Skye's dresser and finds the letter Emily had written for Skye to give to her parents. He realizes that Skye knew Emily was running away the whole time and puts the letter in his pocket.

(In the freight elevator):
The elevator has stopped it's decent, but Roy and Melissa can't find out where they are; the doors don't open. They realize they may be trapped until morning. They manage to open the overhead into the elevator shaft, but it is too dark to see anything, except the big rat that scares Melissa badly enough to drop back into the elevator and (conveniently) Roy's arms. Suddenly the elevator starts to move again, up this time. When the doors open they are face to face with…

AT ANGEL'S HOUSE:
When Angel goes to shower, Sonny calls Benny and tells him that Mike knows where he is, but Benny is NOT to give Mike any info. He also tells Benny to hurry with the check on the girl he mentioned before. Angel expresses concern about Sonny; he won't take any pain medication. He lets her check the wound. When she touches him they both feel it. They admit they are attracted to each other but the timing is wrong so they will do nothing about it. Angel tells Sonny he can stay for as long as he wants.


PC GRILL:
(On the terrace):
Stavros continues to watch Luke and sees Gia approach and blast Luke for being so unfair to Nik. She tells Luke that if he doesn't leave Nik alone he will have to deal with HER. Luke pretty much laughs in her face, but soften the blow by telling her she is beautiful when she is angry.

(Inside):
Lucky rages to Kevin and Liz that Luke's obsession is getting worse. Both tell him that no matter what it may seem like, Luke does love him is only trying to protect him. At Kevin's urging, Lucky agrees to continue the therapy sessions. Lucky remembers the happy times, when the Spencer family was on the run. He tells Liz that his favorite time was when they ran the "Triple L" diner in Vancouver. Liz assures Lucky they will get through this as long as they are together.

Helena presses Nik to return to the family, she knows the blame all lies with Stephan, therefore Nik will be forgiven and all will be forgotten. Nik tells her he will think about it, but make no mistake he will defend Lucky against everyone, including Luke and Her! After Nik and Gia leave Stavros approaches Helena, she tells him that thanks to Luke Nik is almost ready to return to the family. Stavros tells her he wants to see Nik soon, but Helena convinces him to wait a bit longer, her plan is working fine for now. Stavros tells her he almost killed Luke for hitting Nik, he also wants to see Laura, where is she?

AT THE COTTAGE:
Nik sits outside listening to a strange sounding birdcall. From the door, Gia asks if he is coming in, but he tells her to go ahead that he will be in shortly. No sooner does she go in than the strange birdcall comes from a nearby tree. It is Luke. They reveal that it was all an act, they are actually working together and seem to be on rather friendly terms. Luke congratulates him on a great acting job, and asks Nik to keep him informed of his dealings with Helena. After receiving a phone call Luke rushes off.

BACK AT GH:
(Basement Loading Docks):
As Helena and Stavros approach the elevator she realizes something is wrong, it shouldn't be moving. She has Stavros hide just as the doors open, and Melissa and Roy step out. They ask her what she is doing there; she tells them she doesn't have to explain herself. When she asks the same question of them, Roy starts to give the same answer, but Melissa lets it "slip" that they where looking for a "Private" spot. Once she and Stavros are in the elevator Helena comments that Roy is Luke's best friend and could possibly be a problem (she didn't believe the excuse they gave). Stavros responds that it's not a problem, if they get in the way, they will be "taken care of". Helena rattles off a series of numbers 10-31-51,11-…(sound like possible important dates) and the elevator starts it's decent.

Later Melissa and Roy arrive back with Luke in tow. They tell him about the strange elevator ride below the basement level. They also tell him they found Helena waiting (for the elevator) when they got back to the basement level. Luke realizes Helena has something to do with the strange elevator and wonders what she is hiding in the unknown sub-basement.
