General Hospital Update for Friday, 29-Jun-2001

IN HOLLYWOOD:
Scott and Laura star in an epic of their own making. Mostly though it is just them dressing up as memorable movie couples.

Cleopatra & Marc Anthony
Humphrey Bogart & Ingrid Bergman (in Casablanca).
After they finish "filming" they check in to their hotel suite. As Laura admires the view of Hollywood, Scott tells Laura how much he loves her (then, now and always) and indicates it is time to take the next step in their relationship. They kiss passionately.


AT GH (Emily's room):
Emily is awakened from a bad dream by the raging storm. She tells Zander she was dreaming of the bus accident. Suddenly she tells him she can't feel her legs and demands he tell her what is wrong. Zander tries to stall, but this only scares her. When Monica and Alan enter she demands to know if she will be paralyzed. They confess that they don't know for sure. Emily sees only a bleak future for herself. Zander won't let her get depressed and tells her to think about how happy they were on Prom Night. As they remember dancing in the street, Zander suddenly sees her foot move.

AT ANGEL'S HOUSE:
The Storm has knocked the power out. This leads them to sit in the candlelight and talk about her upbringing (one of privilege). She tells Sonny she enjoys feeling free. She decides to go outside and check on something. Suddenly she cries out. Sonny rushes after her only to find she has slipped in the mud. He helps her up and once back inside he gently helps her clean up.


AT THE HOSPITAL (LOADING DOCKS):
Melissa walks into a delivery of mysterious crates marked with the letters "STX". Later she checks the computer but can not find any record of said delivery. She comments this to Roy who has just arrived. After some quibbling and a stroll down memory lane they decide to investigate together. They arrive back on the loading dock only to find it completely empty. Where could all the crates have gone? Up to another floor is the only possibility, they are in the basement after all (or so they think). They decide to take the freight elevator up and stop on each floor to see if they can determine where the crates went. Suddenly (because of the storm) they elevator jerks to a stops. They are trapped. This leads to a discussion of another similar incident and how they spent the wait back then. They jokingly call for help. The elevator jerks and starts to move again. Only problem is it is going DOWN not UP! When it stops they wonder where they are.
China?…
Hell?…

PC GRILL:
As Stavros watches unseen from the bar, Luke bodily picks Nik off the floor and rages at him while Lucky, Gia and Liz watch. Fortunately Helena is just behind Luke so Nik plays along, and they trade insults. Luke accuses Nik of only pretending to leave the family and working with Helena to get Lucky. When Lucky tries to interfere and remind Luke that Nik IS part of his family, Nik yells that he will never be part of the Spencer family because Luke will never let it happen. Kevin breaks up the fight, and Lucky escorts Luke outside. Inside Nik angrily yells as Helena to stay away from him, but does tell her that he hates Luke more than he hates the Cassadine family. Helena asks him what is he going to do about it? Gia calls the PCPD and asks to speak to her brother. Liz overhears and tells her she better not report the incident, Taggart's involvement will not help Lucky, therefore Nik would not be happy about it. Outside on the terrace, Lucky yells at Luke that his paranoia is going to drive him away. Luke vows to defend his son, even it does drive him away. Lucky leaves but Liz pleads with Luke to think about what he is doing. Unseen Stavros eavesdrops on the conversations.
