General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 13-Jun-2001

Q HOUSE:
Edward has hired extra security for the mansion due to the threat of Sorrel. Zander visits to check on Em, but has to struggle past security. Emily has a great idea, since Edward has provided the protection, Zander should move in and be safe there! Once they are alone Zander explains, since Sorrel is sure to come after him, he will stay away from her (and her family) until it is safe. Emily objects to being parted. Skye offers a solution: Runaway together!
Meanwhile, Monica and Alan plan a graduation party for Emily.

LILY'S GRAVE:
Carly kneels at Lily's grave and wonders where an injured Sonny is. When Sorrel surprises her, she is sure HE has done something to Sonny and (like an idiot) begs him to tell her where Sonny is. Luckily for her Sorrel and his goon don't have time to hurt her. Later Sorrel is angry that Sonny's "body" has disappeared. He orders his goon to find Sonny and who ever is helping him.

SONNY'S (or is it Carly's now?) PENTHOUSE:
Alan walks into the unlocked empty penthouse. He wants to talk to Sonny about Emily. Alexis arrives and tells Alan that Sonny is not around and tries to assure him that Emily will be all right. Carly returns and expresses her uncaring attitude toward anything but Sonny's safety, going as far as to accuse Alexis of abandoning Sonny when he needed her most. Alexis assures her that IF Sonny was careless, the blames rests solely at Carly's feet. Alexis does however call the police to report the Sorrel sighting.

THE COTTAGE:
Nik is upset over an overly large phone bill. When Gia asks what gives, he explains that before he always knew the money would be there IF he needed it, now he is worried about the future (welcome to the real world). Gia assures him they will be alright as long as they can be together ...even if they have to live in the dark cause they can't pay the electric bill.

LUKE'S OFFICE:
An embarrassed Melissa tries to beat a graceful retreat, but Roy admits he did want her last night. They reminisce about the pre-bust days in Chicago. Roy tells her she is a great person, and deserves to have a wonderful life, just NOT with him. He already learned…you can't go back…with Bobbie. Plus he promised himself he wouldn't hurt her again. Melissa tells him she is old enough to watch out for herself, if she gets hurt she is responsible. She asks where the DMV is, so she can get a NY license. Then says they can't go back, but they can start over. So she introduces her self to him. Before she leaves, she flirtingly says, "Maybe we'll see each other around". This leaves Roy smiling.

ANGELS HOUSE:
Angel questions Sonny about the guardian angel, Sonny denies that it has special meaning, instead he wants to know why she is living alone in the middle of nowhere. What is she trying to escape? Angel changes his bandage (and the subject) by asking Sonny "If your wife is dead, why do you still wear your wedding ring?" She talks about the different things she has tried to do with her life, and comments that she hasn't found the right one yet. Later a feverish Sonny mistakes Angel for Carly and talks to her as if she where Carly. Unable to warm Sonny with blankets, and realizing he could get worse, Angel decides that she has to do something. She will warm him by sharing her body-heat, so she climbs into bed with Sonny.
