General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 6-Jun-2001

AT WYNDEMERE:
Gia and Liz have managed to sneak into Wyndemere to look for clues on Lucky's whereabouts. Once inside Stephan's study, they indulge in an exchange of snippy remarks. Gia turns on a lamp. Liz knocks over the fireplace set. They are forced to hide when the housekeeper enters the room. After she leaves (and they exchange more snippy remarks) they continue searching. When Gia examines the bookshelf she manages to open the secret doorway to the catacombs. After she steps inside, the door closes behind her. Alone in the study, Liz is caught by Stephan. She lets him know that she wouldn't put it past him to be behind Lucky's disappearance. Nik surprises a spooked Gia in the tunnel. He opens the doorway back into the study. Nik asks Stephan to prove he really loves him by helping to get Lucky back from Helena. Stephan proves stubborn by reminding Nik that IF he where still the heir, he wouldn't have to ask for help. He goes as far as to tell him his choice is "being the Prince or being a nobody/ nothing". Nik leaves saying thanks but no thanks. Before she follows, Gia has a few choice words for Stephan. She tells him that even with out the money and power Nik will never be a nobody. Then she blasts Stephan by saying HE IS THE NOTHING/ NOBODY.

AT JAKES:
Melissa arrives and asks Jake if she can help her find a mechanic, her car has broken down outside. Jake calls over a big burly biker looking man named Bruno. When next we see her, Melissa is having a very good time with Bruno and his friends. They are drinking (vodka) and playing darts. (She has managed to hit everything, but the dartboard). Roy enters, sits at the bar and orders a beer. Suddenly a dart flies past his head. When he turns to tell the person with the bad aim to "watch it" he realizes it is Melissa, and she is D-R-U-N-K. Roy decides she needs rescuing and as he is the only one around it is up to him. When he does manage to get Melissa to agree to let him take her home, she doesn't remember her PC address. Roy decides to take her to his place until she is sober enough to remember it. (Can you see where this is headed? My prediction is...BIG trouble for Roy/Bobbie).

AT THE BLUES CLUB (Luke's office):
Luke and Laura agree to work together to save Lucky. Roy pops in to tell Luke he caught Stephan trying to steal the disks. Before he leaves Roy reminds Luke that he will be available to help, if they need him. Luke wonders if leaving Lucky in jail was a bad move after all. They also ponder if the disks are just a diversion from Helena's real objective. Luke tells Laura that he has called all his contacts (in every organization) and they have not come up with Helena (& Lucky's) whereabouts. Laura worries about Lucky's physical safety, but Luke assures Helena will not kill him, Lucky is more valuable to her alive. Luke tells Laura that he thinks Lucky's actions are all just a diversion planned by Helena. They determine that even though the disks may also be a diversion, it is the best shot they have at the moment. They work on the disks together. With Laura memories providing the info, they use word association to get from "PANDORA" (the first code word) to "PEGASUS". When it works, they determine that they will need a Greek to English dictionary to get any further.

AT HELENA'S SECRET LAB:
Stavros is moving around his case in what appears to be a restless manner. Helena summons Tony and wants to know when they will be able to release him. "TOMORROW" says Tony.

AT SONNY'S PENTHOUSE:
Sonny and Carly talk about the vows they took. Sonny (very calmly) tells Carly that SHE broke her vows when she turned him into the FBI and had him arrested. SHE has destroyed the trust he placed in her. Carly promises to be the good mob wife if he will give her another chance. Sonny assures her she is wasting her time and self respect by begging. She tries to give him a gift. A small angel figurine she bought in Martinique and had blessed by the priest who married them. It will keep him safe she says. Sonny refuses it, and tells her to leave. When she refuses, Sonny gets his briefcase and keys. Meanwhile, Carly puts the angel in Sonny's jacket pocket. He hands her the keys, puts on his jacket and tells her since she won't leave, HE WILL! Carly begs him not to go, especially without a guard. Sonny ignores her and orders her not to follow him. Sonny is unaware that he is being followed.

AT LILY'S GRAVE:
Sonny arrives at the grave with a large bouquet of roses (I think). He places them on Lily's grave and confides that Carly has returned asking for forgiveness. He confesses that he never learned to forgive and asks her to teach him how. He states that she is the only one who was completely loyal to him and maybe he is destined to be alone forever as his punishment for betraying HER! He reaches into his jacket pocket and come up with the figurine Carly placed there. As he contemplates it, he is not aware of the man with a knife who is watching him.

LAST SCENE:
Suddenly, Sonny is grabbed from behind by the man with the knife and stabbed. It is Sorrel. Sonny tries to stand but passes out and falls to the ground at Lily's grave!
