General Hospital Update for Monday, 4-Jun-2001

At the Scorpio-Jones home....
Mac & Felicia share a kiss, but he pulls away. He tells her he loves her, but realizes they aren't ready to get back together. Felicia admits a part of her might not be over Luke yet, but she tells Mac she does love him. He says he knows that, but he leaves. Maxie comes downstairs excited because she had seen the kiss. Felicia tells her not to get her hopes up about them getting back together. Maxie tells her mom she just wants her to be happy, but she is rooting for Mac. Felicia leaves to get ice cream...


At the PCPD...
Elizabeth is freaking out about the fire at the PCPD. Luke pushes his way into the cell area, but doesn't find Lucky. He comes back out and informs Elizabeth & Laura that Lucky is gone. Luke realizes the fire was set deliberately and he blames Helena. He tells them he's going to the "source," and rushes out. New Police Captain Dalton (why wasn't Taggert promoted?!) finds Elizabeth and accuses her of aiding and abetting the escape of two prisoners. It seems Sorel is also gone. Elizabeth might be charged for providing the materials that started the fire. Nikolas and Gia are there now (having heard about the fire over the radio) and are insistent that such claims are ridiculous. Scott shows up and tries to be lawyerly, but Captain Dalton isn't having any. He can now charge Lucky with more crimes! Taggert shows up back at work and tries to talk Dalton out of pressing charges against Liz. Laura is worried about Luke and what he could be doing. She sneaks out to check on him. Finally, Scott tells Liz she can go for now and Nikolas and Gia (surprisingly) really try to comfort and support her.


On the Docks & Helena's yacht...
Meanwhile, Luke runs into Felicia on the docks. He has a gun and is acting almost crazy, saying he has to handle this problem. Felicia is incredulous and follows him onto Helena's yacht, trying to talk him out of killing Helena. She doesn't get very far when Laura shows up.


In the GH sub-basement....
Lucky is wandering through the maze, straight to Helena holding the Ice Princess. He asks for his next assignment. Helena decides they are going to play chess first, to reacquaint. She starts in with that "Protect your Queen" crap and then adds the order to "Take the King," which apparently means he is supposed to kill Luke. Helena demands Lucky follows her orders but he refuses. He stands up and says he won't do it!!


At Sonny's penthouse & dinner....
Sonny sees more visions of Carly and then decides he needs to get out of the house and knocks on Alexis' door and tells her to be ready for dinner in five minutes. Of course, Alexis objects to the demand and insists on an invitation. Once he invites her, she turns him down, but then, he asks her again very sweetly and she realizes he needs a friend, so she goes with him. At the restaurant, some floozy comes over to flirt with Sonny and, when he flirts back, Alexis tells him that denial is not healthy. She wants him to talk about what's bothering him, how much he still loves Carly and how upset he is. He plays down his loneliness and hurt, even trying to remind Alexis that his marriage was just to prevent Carly from testifying against him. Alexis knows it was more than that. Taggert joins them at their table to tell Sonny that Sorel escaped from jail. Alexis is upset. When they get back to the penthouses, Alexis expresses her worry about Sonny and his lack of bodyguards, particularly with Sorel on the loose. Sonny tells her not to worry, he'll deal with Sorel in his own way. She is reminded that he is a dangerous mobster, but admits to him that if Sorel did turn up dead and Sonny was arrested, she would defend him. They compliment each other some more and then part ways. Alexis, once inside her apartment, calls Benny and tells him to provide some protection for Sonny. Sonny, once inside his apartment, sees visions of Carly almost immediately. There is a knock on his door and what do you know, it is the real Carly smiling up at him.
