General Hospital Update for Thursday, 24-May-2001

AT THE COTTAGE:
Nik & Gia prepare to go to the engagement celebration dinner. Nik waits downstairs, calling out for her to hurry or they will be late. He is left speechless when Gia appears looking stunning in a lovely red dress. Then proceeds to ruin the effect (at least for me) by boast that it is a CHLOE original and bragging about the cost. Gia expresss her reluctance to join a faimly dinner, what if the secret comes up. She will just sit there feeling excluded, she says. They agree not to ruin the evening by avoiding talk about "IT" (Lucky's secret).

AT THE DECEPTION OFFICES:
Scott awaits Laura, who arrives all dressed up. Scott proposes they not waste her new dress on working, but should go out. Sorry, says Laura, she already has plans. The family is having dinner at the PC Grill to celebrate Liz & Lucky's engagement. Scott is jealous because Laura will be with Luke.

???:
Felicia stands on Mac's shoulders as she looks through a window at home of a young blonde woman. They think it may be Carly because the name on the mailbox is CAROLINE MORGAN. Unfortunately, as she tries to get a better view, they both fall over. This brings the woman outside, carrying a baseball bat. It is NOT Carly. Mac & Felicia give her a spiel about being new neighbors. After she goes back inside, they talk about their lack of leads. Felicia complains about losing her touch. As Mac reassures her, they almost kiss, but Felicia pulls away saying she is not ready yet. "That's okay" says Mac, but he is not giving up. He reminds her that they still have a dinner date, as the last one was interupted.

AT KELLY'S:
Bobbie is doing bookwork at a table, suddenly she picks up the phone, dials, and leaves a message for Carly. She is worried and wants Carly to call her. (My guess would be she is just leaving a message on Carly's voice mail). Lucky comes downstairs and they talk about Lucas. She assures him Lucas will fully recover. When Lucky asks her for advice on his relationship with Liz. Bobbie (still hurting from what she sees as Roy's betrayal) tells him to always be truthful and never lie to Liz, and don't keep secrets from her either. Scott arrives and tries to cheer Bobbie up. The only help Bobbie needs, she says is with her love life. She tells Scott that she and Roy are over. Well if they are both single, why don't they just go over to the PC Grill together and have some fun, Scott suggests. Bobbie tells him she knows him well and can tell he is up to something, but she will go along anyway.
UPSTAIRS:
Emily and Zander are packing her things for her return to the Q house. Mostly they are just happy about being in love. Suddenly Zander finds Em diary and wants to look through it. It sort of freaks Em out, and she tries to get wrestle it away from Zander. Liz breaks it up when she arrives to borrow some jewelry from Em. Zander leaves the room, but does overhear Em confess to Liz that tonight is prom night but she isn't going. She didn't even tell Zander because she didn't think he would want to go.
DOWNSTAIRS:
Zander asks Lucky "How important is Prom?" "Prom is a VERY IMPORTANT, VERY MAGICAL night for all girls, Em has already missed many things because of you, she shouldn't miss this too" says Lucky. Zander agrees and runs back upstairs. He dumps Em's suitcase on the bed. When she complains, he tells they can repack, AFTER she finds a dress to wear to the prom. Back downstairs he and Lucky are making plans when Nik and Gia arrive. After Gia makes a few cutting remarks, the guys send her upstairs. At first Zander complains when Nik & Lucky take over the arrangements. He is not a charity case he says. They tell him to suck it up; they are doing this for Em not for him. Nik arranges a limo. Lucky tosses Zander his keys and tells him that his Tux is in his closet, then sets off to get a corsage.
UPSTAIRS:
The search for a dress is on. Nothing in Emily's extensive collection of dresses is good enough. Suddenly Gia appears, they both admire her dress. Liz asks Gia to step out into the hall with her. Once there she twists Gia arm to get her to offer Em her dress. "You own her for blackmailing her for when you first came to PC, plus think how happy it will make Nik NOT to know you tried to blackmail me too". Back in Em's room Gia offers her dress, when Em declines Gia looks at Liz and says "Can't say I didn't try". "Try harder," says Liz. Em does take the dress and the girls help her with her hair and make-up. The girls finally appear downstairs, where their men are waiting for them. (Gia is wearing a horrible dress that could only have come from Em's terrible taste collection.)

AT THE PC GRILL:
As Luke awaits the arrival of his family, he offers a toast to his Aunt Ruby and asks for her to watch over Lucky, he is going to need all the help he can get. Roy arrives in response to Luke's urgent message. Luke tells him that he is going to kidnap Lucky and he could use some help. Kevin arrives and expresses his doubts that they are doing the right thing. Luke asks for an option to kidnapping. When none is forthcoming, he unveils his plan. After dinner he will ask Lucky to step outside so they can talk, there a waiting Roy will help him knock Lucky unconscious, then Luke will get him to a safe place where Kevin can treat him. Kevin warns that it could trigger deeper programming. Luke responds; the deeper programming has already been triggered. Now he just wants to stop it before Lucky hurts himself or someone else. When the other two seem to hesitate, Luke tells them he is going to do it with or without their help. They do agree to help. After Kevin leaves, Roy asks Luke if he has told Laura what he is going to do. When Luke says he doesn't have time for that, Roy warns him that it could blow up in his face. Even if it works Laura and/or Lucky may not forgive him. He should know, just look at what happened to him and Bobbie on the Carly issue, Roy says. Luke says having them hate him is worth the risk of saving Lucky's life. When Laura arrives, Roy goes to wait at the bar. Luke compliments her on her new dress and admires her new hairstyle. He then warns her to brace herself for Liz's ring. It is the same one Stavros gave her! She is scared about what will happen. Luke assures her that he will be by her side, she just has to get through dinner with out losing it over the ring. She doesn't know if she can do it. Luke promises her THEY will get through this. Laura agrees to do as he says. From the bar Roy watches as Scott, Bobbie, Mac and Felicia walk in. The foursome spots Luke and Laura sitting closely together and appearing cozy. They in turn look up and see the surprised foursome standing at the entrance.
