General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 23-May-2001

AT ELQ:
Edwards gives Skye a tour of ELQ offices. While in the boardroom he lets her know he has called a meeting. This surprises Skye as much as finding her there surprises the rest of the Qs. Ned has sold AJ some shares, now AJ is able to vote again. Edward gets his own surprise, Sonny shows up for the meeting even though Ed didn't want him there. First order of business (after Sonny introduces himself to Skye and they flirt) is Skye's appointment as Director if Communications. A vote is called for, Ed, Lila (by proxy) and Alan vote yes, Ned and AJ vote no. Monica votes no, but Alan calls her outside and asks for her co-operation. Monica tells him she spoke to a friend in Lanview, and found out what kind of person Skye is. She tells Alan that Skye was hired to seduce a man away from his wife. Never the less, at Alan's request, Monica ends up voting yes. Sonny actually asks Skye if she is qualified for the position, then votes yes. Second order of business is the dock renovation. Sonny opposes it immediately; it will interfere with HIS expansion plans he says. Edward tells him that it doesn't matter, he has enough family votes to pass. Sonny then pulls out his second surprise, TRACY'S PROXY. Even so, Ed says, with the rest of the family 's vote it will still be enough. Don't be sure says Monica. She will vote NO also. After the meeting breaks up, Edward gives Skye her first assignment. Get Sonny's shares! Any way she can!

AT THE HOSPITAL:
Roy apologizes to Melissa for the time when Bobbie set her up. Don't worry says Melissa, she and Bobbie just don't get along. Roy asks why she didn't tell him about the incident sooner. Melissa tells him she thought about it, but she doesn't want him back that way. If he comes back to her it has to be because he chooses HER.

Bobbie refuses all of Felicia reasons for Roy's behavior. Mostly she just whines, if Roy loves HER, then why is he with MELISSA everytime she turns around? And why did he put Carly's life in danger? Why did he go to the FBI when he had sworn never to do so? Why didn't Felicia tell her what was going on?

Felicia tells Roy that they have not been able to find a trace of Carly yet. Then she gives him advice about Bobbie. When Roy tells her that Bobbie doesn't trust him, she answers with "She just needs a little time and space to cool off, after she does she will understand and accept."

30 FLIGHTS BELOW GH:
Helena watches over her precious son. When Tony arrives she blasts him for letting Luke follow him. If Luke where to find Stavros in this weakend condition, he would kill him again, says Helena. She then mentions the missing Carly. Tony takes that as a veiled threat, and makes one of his own. If anything happens to someone else in Bobbie's family, he knows how to "pull the plug" (so to speak) on Stavros. Helena comes back with an out-right threat. If Stavros dies, so does Lucas, she has more of the virus stashed away.

ON THE ROOF OF GH:
Luke awakens on the ledge. His first attempt to move sends him over and leaves him clinging by his fingertips. "Well hell" he says (quite calmly I might add). He tries to pull himself up, but can't, so he does the next logical thing. He calls for help. Stephan arrives and makes an attempt at humor…
STEPH "Well isn't this interesting".
LUKE: "It would be you wouldn't it"
STEPH: "I told you what would happen if you kept hanging around the hospital"
Luke finally asks for his help directly. Stephan taunts him...He could just leave him there, or make sure he falls, but he would rather make a deal. He wants Luke to tell him what is on the disks. Luke refuses; anything he says could endanger his loved ones. Stephan remarks on Luke's stubbornness, but asks if there is any last words for Laura and his children. "Yes" says Luke "Tell them to spit in your face." Stephan starts to walk away,but Luke calls him back; he will accept the deal, just get him up. Once he is on solid ground, and after actually saying thank you, Luke backs out of deal. First he calls Stephan a SUCKER, and then he only tells Stephan half the truth. Helena stole the disks back, before he could decode them. Bobbie arrives, but offers no words of thanks to Stephan for saving her brother. She knows he doesn't do anything with out an ulterior motive. Steph leaves, reminding Luke that now Luke is in his debt. Bobbie tells Luke about Carly and asks him to look for her. Luke refuses. He is to busy, plus with Helena on the warpath Carly and Michael are better off out of town. This scares Bobbie, but Luke assures her he has a plan and tells her to trust him.
