General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 16-May-2001

AT THE Q HOUSE:
Skye tells Monica that since Emily is no longer living at home, she wants to move into Emily's room. Both Monica and Alan tell her no, it will always be Em's room. Monica suggests a room for Skye, in another wing! Emily returns and tells Monica only that Zander doesn't really love her. He just walked away, Emily says. Edward gathers the rest of the family and announces that he is giving Skye 2% of ELQ stock, which he had originally intended for Emily. AJ & Ned are sure this is only to get back at them. They tell Edward to watch out because he is going to get what he deserves. Both Rae and Alan are angry that Edward is using Skye. In her room, Emily is joined by Zander. He tells her that he couldn't go through with deal, because he is no longer the same person. He has changed because of her. They both declare their love, kiss and fall on to her bed. Downstairs, Monica very firmly tells Rae and Alan that she wants both Skye and Rae out of HER house. Alan tells Monica that he loves HER, but will not be forced to choose. Skye eavesdrops at Emily's door, then goes downstairs and tells everyone she heard a man's voice in Emily's room. All the Q's rush upstairs.
(Am I the only one who remembers that Monica also had a secret daughter? Dawn; whom she gave up for adoption, before she ever met Alan. Like Syke, Dawn showed up looking for her biological parent. Why doesn't Monica remember? Why doesn't Alan remind her of this?)

ON HELENA'S YACTH:
Luke and Laura question Lucky's presence. He has an answer; he is there to tell Helena off. He refuses to leave when they ask him to. He expresses anger to over Luke's actions. Laura is very surprised to hear he has proposed to Liz. Luke asks Lucky what he knows about Lucas' illness. Lucky denies any knowledge, but reacts very angrily when his parents suggest he see Dr. Collins. They do finally all leave the yacht.

AT THE HOSPITAL:
Tony refuses to play Dr. Frankenstein, until Lucas is completely recovered. Helena gives him a syringe filled with a dark liquid, but will not reassure a worried Tony that is won't kill Lucas. She also warns him that if he backs out or tells anyone, especially Luke, she will kill Lucas. Tony returns to the lab and looks over Melissa findings.

Melissa visits Lucas and leaves him her St. Jude pendant. Later Bobbie finds it, but before she can asks where it came from Lucas gets worse. She calls Tony, who hurries over from the lab, with the syringe. Tony administers the "antidote", then lies to Bobbie when she asks what it is. Outside the room, Felicia has painful memories of Maxie's illness and BJ's death. Mac hugs her just and Luke and Laura arrive. Lucas shows no improvement, Bobbie tells Tony that they have done everything they could; now it is in the hands of someone more powerful. This reinforces Tony decision to help Helena. Luke asks Tony if there was any sign of poison. Tony tells him the truth, it is not poison, it is a virus. Mindful of Helena's warning, he resists the urge to tell Luke the whole truth. Roy tracks down Melissa and thanks her for leaving the pendant. As he prepares to return to Lucas' room Roy receives a message and leaves the hospital instead. Helena reassures (a frozen) Stavros that Tony WILL help. Ari reports the presence of the Spencers on the yacht to Helena. This worries her enough to leave her darling boy. Back on her yacht, she once again uses the Ice Princess to have Lucky do her bidding. This time she tells Lucky that he is going to help her destroy Luke.
(Isn't it ironic that Luke killed Mikkos by freezing him, and Helena's attempt to save Stavros includes frezzing him?)
