General Hospital Update for Thursday, 10-May-2001

At the Jail….Sonny is laying on his cot in his jail cell, running conversations through his head and they all seem to lead to one person being his betrayer (hint: he’s right). Carly then shows up with bad news, the bail hearing didn’t go well. Next, AJ & Scotty show up with even worse news, AJ is filing for custody of Michael. Needless to say, Carly is not pleased with this news and even threatens to kill AJ if he takes away her son. BUT, this is another reason for Sonny to take the FBI deal, Carly pleads with him. Sonny asks her, “Then you’ll have everything you want, right?” She explains what she wants is to be safe. Roy shows up and tells Sonny to take the deal. Sonny yells that he will NEVER ACCEPT BETRAYAL. (uh oh, what will this mean for Carly?!) Carly tries one last time and asks him to take the deal for Michael’s sake. Sonny seems to suddenly have a change of heart and tells her to arrange bail, he’ll agree to the deal, leaving Carly thrilled!! He’s released from jail, telling Carly he knows what she can do when she sets her mind to something.

At GH….Bobbie & Roy are concerned about Lucas, he’s in ICU. Roy tells Bobbie about Sonny’s arrest, but before she can get too much info, she rushes in to check on an increasingly worse Lucas. Tony & Bobbie commiserate about their sick child, lamenting their inability to find out what is wrong with him. “Why can’t we save our own child?” Bobbie cries. Lucas starts convulsing. Meanwhile, Roy has run into Alexis, who is curious about Sonny’s predicament, but refuses to help. Also, Melissa tells Tony she could check in at the lab to help try to figure out the problem. Helena cozies up to Melissa to try to get some information about Luca, but Melissa isn’t having any; she tells Helena she doesn’t want her as a friend and she is certainly not going to help in her war against the Spencers. Melissa mentions nosy Helena to Roy in passing. Hmm….

Briefly….Stefan runs into Chloe at the Grill and while she wants nothing to do with him, he apologizes for the umpteenth time and mentions that he loves her. Alexis shows up and the two gal pals lament betrayal. Also, Scott tells AJ he doesn’t have the best case for custody, but AJ says his son is so important to him and he wants to fight for him.

At the Q house…Monica is jealous and bitter towards Alan and accuses him of caring more about this new daughter than Emily. She also makes some snide remarks about Rae, never giving up an opportunity to do that. Alan says he wants to do right by Skye and Monica tells him to sleep on the couch while Rae & Skye are there. Meanwhile, Skye is cozying up to Edward, asking about ELQ, etc… Of course, Rae explodes upon hearing Skye expressing closeness to Edward and warns her not to play him and not to turn the Quartermaines against one another. Skye tells Rae to leave PC, but Alan overhears and tells her not to talk to her mother that way. Skye whines that no one has been very welcoming to her since she arrived, so maybe she’ll just leave instead. Alan sincerely tries to convince Skye that he wants to get to know her and asks her to stay….will she stay or will she go?
