General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 8-May-2001

LUKE asks Laura for help decoding the disks. Despite her misgiving that it will only lead to more trouble, she does help.

FELICIA sees Luke and Laura together and is shaken. Later she accepts a dinner date with Mac. Luke overhears.

ZANDER is too hurt by Emily's actions to forgive her. Their reconciliation quickly spirals into an argument. They fling hurtful accusations at each other. He walks away to join his friends in the drug deal, she cries.

ROY tries to convince Sonny he wasn't setup, by bending the truth. "The FBI knew about the bomb, they were watching you and waiting for you to make a move. I was at Ford's office when it came down and convinced Ford to offer you a deal", he tells Sonny.

ALONE with Roy, Carly whines that things are not going as planned. She confides that Sonny is big time claustrophobic. "Maybe that will help change his mind" says Roy.

SONNY doesn't buy Roy's version and refuses to deal with the FBI. He is taken to a cell. As soon as the door closes he is assailed by memories of the abuse he and his mother suffered at the hands of Deke. He is climbing the walls when Carly arrives.

STEPHAN approaches Luke, he tells Luke about Nick's defection from the Cassadine family to the Spencer family. Certain that Luke does not what that anymore than he does, he proposes they help each other. Luke will help convince Nick to return to the Cassadine family fold, and in exchange Stephan will help Luke defeat Helena. Stephan is surprised when Luke immediately tells Laura. She asks Stephan to leave Nick alone. He offers her the same deal as he did Luke. Laura assures him she and Luke can take care of Lucky, without his help, besides she doesn't trust Stephan anymore.

NICHOLAS guesses that Gia told Liz and Lucky about his family problems. They discuss Stephan's and Helena's reactions, unaware that this has upset Lucky because of the programming. Suddenly Lucky sees Helena's and his parents' faces everywhere he looks, this upsets him deeply. It only stops when Liz is near him, this makes him feel safe and prompts him to propose marriage to Liz.
