General Hospital Update for Monday, 7-May-2001

Today's show could be entitled"FOUR MEN IN PAIN." Sonny, Roy, Alan, and Zander are feeling quite frustrated with their circumstances. First, Sonny is being held in custody by the FBI and Taggert. Since Roy tried to help Carly snag Sonny so he can get away from THE MOB, Roy realizes that their covert plan may backfire. Like an idiot, Carly rushes "TO SAVE SONNY". Things aren't going as Roy and Carly had planned. Thus, Roy is feeling as if he has truly messed up. He bangs his hand into the wall as Melissa appears. She tells him that he is too hard on himself and that he tries to "CARRY THE WORLD ON HIS SHOULDERS". To this viewer, He tries too hard to please all and ends not pleasing anyone. An exhausted , paranoid Bobbie eavesdrops on him as he talks to Melissa. Bobbie is so keyed up because of Lucas's condition and Melissa's desire for Roy. Felicia tries to help soothe Bobbie by giving her a manicure.Bobbie finally falls asleep in a hospital bed.
In the meantime, My heart really goes out to a distraught Alan. He realizes that his dad was cognizant of Skye's being his and Raye's daughter.Edward had seen to it that Alan would never know about Raye's being pregnant. Rather than being given up for adoption, Skye was sold. An emotional Raye screams at Edward saying "You left this huge HOLE in my life which has caused me much grief." As usual, Edward has interfered in Alan's life. Alan swears to Raye that he will make this up to her and Skye. CAn he? IS it too late?
Emily catches up with Zander and tries to explain how deceptive her granddad had been. He is so torn because he wonders how she could love him but not trust him.He said "I believed in YOU". "Why didn't you believe in me?"
Back in Taggert's office, Carly is asked by Sonny:"HOW DID YOU KNOW I WAS HERE?" She says that She called someone which, of course, is a lie. She has deceived Sonny and broken HER WORD to ROy.Sonny asks:"Who set me up?" Before Carly can answer, Roy arrives and says :"I can answer that."It looks as if these anxious, irate men must find a way to cope. Will Carly come clean with Sonny? Tune in tomorrow to see. Jackie
