General Hospital Update for Monday, 30-Apr-2001

AT THE Q house Monica demands an explanation, after Skye's announcement that she is Alan's daughter. Amid the disbelief, sarcasm, Rae tries to explain. Monica has no reason to be jealous, it all happened before Monica and Alan met, before Alan was in medical school. They had a thing, before she could tell Alan she was pregnant, he broke-up with her. When her family found out, they sent her to a private clinic, when the baby was born they put it up for adoption, and told Rae it had died. Rae only found out the truth a few years ago, and only just found Skye a few months ago. Monica asks for blood test to prove story, but Alan stuns everyone by admitting he knew Rae was pregnant.

SONNY shows up at Alexis' penthouse and reiterates his offer to Zander, Legit job or school whatever he wants. Zander declines both Sonny's and Alexis's offer of help. He is leaving PC and going back to Manhattan. After Zander leaves the room Alexis and Sonny continue to spar over what is better for Zander. Alexis tells Sonny it's best if Zander stays away from him completely. Sonny asks her to be his attorney again. She declines; she doesn't trust him not to lie to her again. Sonny surprises her by accepting her decision without a fight.

BOBBIE and Melissa have another go at each other. Bobbie wants Melissa gone. Melissa reminds her that she wouldn't be there if Bobbie hadn't looked her up in the first place. Tony arrives to hear the tail end of Melissa's harsh word to Bobbie, offers to have a talk with Alan about Melissa (again). Bobbie does not see need, Melissa is leaving.

ROY hurts himself trying to help Lucas, who has collapsed. Melissa arrives at the brownstone, before the paramedics. Her training and quick action save Lucas' life. Bobbie is in the ER when Lucas arrives. While Tony and Bobbie work on Lucas, Roy thanks Melissa for saving Lucas' life, then collapses himself. His incision has opened and he has lost a lot of blood. After determining that Lucas condition is not from diabetes, Tony sends Bobbie to ask Roy what happened exactly. She finds Melissa working on Roy, and jumps right in to help. Roy thanks Melissa for helping him. When Melissa leaves the room Bobbie follows, itching for a fight.

LUCKY is at a gazebo in the park, taking pictures. Nick arrives; he is looking for Gia. They had a fight, and she has been avoiding him, says Nick. They talk and after and innocent remark Lucky blows up at Nick. After Lucky apologizes they talk some more. Lucky doesn't understand why Nick doesn't hate Luke. Nick explains, he used to because his family had made him believe that Luke stole Laura away, otherwise she would have been around to raise him. But now he knows that is not the way it was. Nick may not like Luke, but now he understands that everything Luke has done to the Cassadines, was done in order to protect his family, it was done out of love. They repeat their vow to keep out of the Cassadine/Spencer War.

ONCE Alan, Monica, Rae and Skye have left the room, Ned, AJ and Emily confront Edward about his false mugging. With Lila's help they finally get Edward to sign a confession, for Emily to use if Edward tries to interfere with her and Zander again. Emily runs to Alexis' penthouse to make up with Zander, but he is gone. At the bus station, a depressed Zander awaits his boarding call.
