General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 24-Apr-2001

MELISSA visits Roy. He tells her she has to stop blaming herself for what happened. Just as he is telling her that he will always care about her, Bobbie walks in. She acts as if she didn't hear. Later she blasts Melissa again. Melissa tries to get Bobbie to leave (she is not on duty) when things get busy. Bobbie offers her help, after all they have to work together no matter their feelings, the patients are the important ones. When Melissa goes to attend a patient, Bobbie ditches the paperwork, Melissa will get blamed, it's her responsibility.

AJ is suspicious of Edward's quick recovery. At home they have words. AJ wonders out loud about the mugging, Edward's health. Edwards denies any deceit on his part, but warns AJ to keep his nose out of the whole affair. Later (at the hospital) AJ manages to get Melissa to admit there was nothing wrong with Edward.

EMILY breaks up with Zander. He tries to convince her that her family will come around once he proves himself. She says that won't happen, they all believe he attacked Edward, AND SO DOES SHE! Zander pleads with her not to give up on him now, he LOVES her. She tells him never to say that again, and never come near her family, then leaves crying. Zander throws around a bale of hay, then cries. Out side the barn, Emily sobs like her heart is breaking.

LUCKY stops Liz from opening vial. When she asks what it is he has a ready explanation. He then admits to having a feeling something bad is going to happen, Liz reassures him they will be together always. Later, while Liz sleeps, Lucky collects his clothes and sneaks out of the room. He visits the brownstone with a made up excuse, He lost his key, and does Bobbie have an extra one? While Tony (who is babysitting) is getting it, Lucky distracts Lucas. Then his hand is seen holding the vial over Lucas' glass of milk. Lucky returns to his room, holds up empty vial.

LAURA'S demand for answers from Helena gets her the usual denials, accusations, innuendoes, threats. A hiding Luke reveals his presence when Helena threatens Laura. Helena and Luke spar while Laura listens. After leaving the yacht, Luke and Laura discuss what should be done. Laura admits she is unsure if everything is as Luke sees it. As she tries to leave she drops her purse, and the contents spill out. As they gather up the items, they seem to share a certain awareness of each other. (YES! YES! YES!)

SONNY and Carly discuss the safety issue. She thinks he has done a good job. He refuses to put another life at risk. After he asks, she grudgingly gives her acceptance of his decision. Later she comes down stairs and tries to get Sonny to bed. He accuses her of lying to him, then trying to go ahead and get pregnant anyway. When she admits it (sort of), he looses his temper and sends her out of the room. Later (from the stairs) Carly watches a sadden Sonny (in the living room) who leaves when he realizes she is there.
