General Hospital Update for Monday, 23-Apr-2001

OPENING SCENES:
AT THE PENTHOUSE: Carly, Michael and Sonny are celebrating Sonny's Birthday. Camera focuses on one present, as Carly announces it's time to open them.

AT PCPD: Emily pleads with Edward "I know Zander didn't do it, PLEASE don't sign the complaint." Edward agrees not to sign, on TWO conditions. 1 - Em returns home immediately. 2 - (Saw this coming didn't we?) She NEVER sees Zander again.

AT LUKE'S OFFICE: Luke is at his desk working on disks (the copies he made), but still can not break code. Laura arrives to discuss Luke's call about Lucky.

ON HELENA'S YACHT: Helena (holding the Ice Princess) praises Lucky for stealing disks, with Luke none the wiser.

IN THE PARK: Jason asks Liz to leave PC with him. Liz declines invitation. Even though she has feeling for him, she has realized her place is with Lucky. Jason warns her Lucky is dangerous. She is confident he would never hurt HER.


TODAY'S ACTION:
LIZ and Jason discuss Lucky's odd behavior. Jason pleads with Liz "Get away from him, even if you don't come with me". Liz (again) admits to her feeling for him, but she belongs with Lucky. Jason graciously accepts her decision. Liz apologizes, if she hurt him, and walks way. She knows he is watching, and hesitates when she reaches end of park path, but does not look back, then she leaves.

HELENA gives Luck a small vial (poison?) and instructions to "Keep it out of sight until he is ready to use it."

LUKE tells Laura about Lucky's behavior the day he came to the office and OFFERED his help with the disks. Something is wrong with Lucky he tells her. Luke is sure Lucky stole disks.

EDWARD stands firm in the face of Emily's tears and pleas. She knows how to keep Zander out of jail, agree to his conditions.

SONNY opens presents. First (from Michael) a hand drawn place mat. Then Carly's (as she comments that they used the wrong ribbon). It's a BOMB. Sonny makes Johnny take Carly and Michael away.

EMILY agrees to Edward's blackmail. Taggart and Dara are stunned when Edward refuses to sign, as are the Q's (except AJ). He can't help but notice that Edward looks better. Like he was never mugged at all (well duh!). -(Sorry) In exchange for privacy to break up with Zander, Em agrees not to mention deal with Edward to anyone, not the Q's, police or even Zander.

LAURA tries to come up with reasonable explanation for Lucky's behavior. Luke has one also; Helena still has him brainwashed. Laura disagrees, but thanks Luke for keeping her informed.

LUCKY arrives in his room at Kelly's, opens the window, takes the vial out of his pocket. Just as he is about to throw it, Liz arrives.

JASON arrives at penthouse. Sonny is still holding bomb. If he moves it will go off, Jason better scram. Jason offers to take bomb so Sonny can leave. "Too risky" says Sonny they have to find way to disarm it.

LIZ and Lucky discuss how Jason helped her when Lucky was dead. But now she knows that Lucky is the LOVE OF HER LIFE. They belong together.

EMILY and Zander return to (their) barn, and start to kiss.

JASON manages to defuse bomb, with Sonny's instructions (didn't know he was an expert did you?). They discuss the situation. They can't get to Sorrel, on death row, but if they take out his loyal people, the problem will be solved. Jason will have to disappear again for it to work. Sonny remains upset. Michael wanted to open the presents. What if Sonny had let him! Jason leaves after Sonny thanks him. Sonny calls Johnny and tells him to bring Carly and Michael home.

LUCKY and Liz rehash their lives (and his jealousy) since his return from the dead. They make-up and kiss.

LUKE breaks in to Helena's yacht, but has to hide as he hears her approaching.

AJ questions Edward about his conversation with Emily and subsequent refusal to sign complaint. Edward admits nothing, but assures AJ everything will be fine.

ZANDER's hands start to wander as their kisses deepen. But when he slides his hands under her blouse, a crying Emily pulls away. Zander asks her what is wrong.

CARLY questions Sonny about who sent bomb. Sonny replies that he is not sure. Carly asks if that is the reason why he doesn't want to have a baby, because they are not safe yet?

HELENA boards the yacht. Luke is hiding behind the bar (doesn't he always)? She is expecting Andreas, but is surprised to find Laura, who demands to know what Helena has done to her son.

LAST SCENE:
LIZ (after making love with Lucky) gets out of bed and starts to pick up clothes (don't we all?). She finds vial and is about to open it when a panicky Lucky stops her.

SCENES FOR NEXT GH:
EMILY tells Zander "We can't be together anymore".

ROY assures Bobbie "I will always love you, no matter what".

CARLY tells Sonny "We are in this together".

LAURA demands answers from Helena.

LUCKY tells Liz "No matter what, you can't get hurt".
