General Hospital Update for Thursday, 19-Apr-2001

This is my third update this week (we are only supposed to do one a week) But since no one else had reserved this date I'll go ahead and post an update. I will however try to keep it short and basic. Hopefully I won't get in trouble with the powers that be.

TODAY's ACTION:
AT THE PENTHOUSE: Sonny and Carly discuss (more like argue about) the baby situation. She storms out. He stays and takes out his frustration on the furniture.

IN PRIVATE HOSPITAL ROOM: Taggart updates Edward on the mugging case. (Suspect claims to have FOUND the wallet in trashcan). A.J. insists it was Zander. Edward remembers a possible witness - A waiter from a nearby coffee shop. Nurse Melissa questions Edward about his pain, specifically his lack of it. She orders more tests for him. (Didn't know a nurse had that kind of authority)

IN HOSPITAL HALLWAY: Monica proposes to Alan; They should renew their vows.

AT THE PENTHOUSE: Mike arrives to wish Sonny a Happy Birthday. After Sonny tells him about the fight, Mike also tries to convince Sonny that he and Carly should have a baby.

IN SAME HOSPITAL HALLWAY: Emily and Zander run into the (whole) Q family. After several tense moments they agree to go home together. Alan extends the invitation to include Zander, just as Taggart arrives. The waiter saw the mugger running from the alley. The description fits ZANDER perfectly. Taggart places Zander under arrest, while Q's and a stunned Emily watch.

AT THE PARK, Carly seeks comfort from Jason. After extracting some details, he assures her the problem lies not with her, but with Sonny's fear and pain from previous losses. Carly thinks she can get around the problem by sticking to her guns, like she did when Sonny tried to cancel the wedding in Martinique.

AT HER STUDIO: Liz tells Lucky that she loves him, but has finally faced the truth: She has feeling for Jason also. After some angry words, an upset Lucky storms out.

AT THE HOSPITAL: Edward is released. Melissa receives Edwards test results and comments "Isn't that funny!"

ON AN AIRPLANE: An unknown dark-haired woman (late twenties to mid thirties) fastens her seatbelt for arrival in PC. Comments to herself. "Everyone better fasten their seatbelts."

LAST SCENE:
Lucky visits the Boxcar, where he breaks down and CRIES! (It was heartbreaking!)
