General Hospital Update for Wednesday, 18-Apr-2001

My thanks to those who wrote to me, I appreciate it. I know this is my second update this week. But since no one else had reserved it, I am going ahead and posting. Hope you don't mind too much.

OPENING SCENES:
AT THE HOSPITAL: Bobbie is at Roy's beside when he awakens. He asks if she is his nurse. She answers "Yes, but I'm not officially on duty". Roy asks if Melissa is ok.

IN THE PARK: Melissa is sitting on bench (having flashback to Roy's shooting). Jason walks by (talking on the phone), stops short when he sees Liz approaching from the opposite direction. She asks where he is going. He answers "Does it matter?" Hurt by his abrupt answer, Liz starts to walk away. Jason reaches to stop her. Liz cries out "Let me go". Melissa jumps in to see if Liz needs help. After Liz's assurance that they are friends Jason leaves. Liz asks Melissa if they can talk.

AT THE PENTHOUSE: Carly is telling Michael that she and "Uncle Sonny" are trying to make a brother or sister for him. Sonny watches and listens from the stairs.

AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION: Scott leads a blindfolded Laura (half-heartedly protesting) into to a room. When she questions where they are, he answers that he thought she needed a break.

AT LUKE'S OFFICE: Luke is asleep in his chair, having a BAD dream. He is running through dimly lit corridor, calling desperately for Lulu and Lucky. He trips and falls. When he looks up there is a person at the other end holding out their arms. (All we see is a pair of hands). He gets up and makes his way to that end of corridor, but no one is there. Looking up and raising his arms (towards heaven) he cries out "DON'T LEAVE ME". Lucky arrives and awakens him.

UNKNOWN LOCATION: Helena walks through a dimly lit room, smiling.

TODAY'S ACTION:
BOBBIE explains to Roy that he is in ICU. Then answers some questions about what happened after the shooting. She asks why did he put himself in danger (he could have died, again) when there where professionals there whose job is to do so. He answers "I had to help Melissa". Melissa arrives (from the park and her heart to heart talk with Liz) at Roy's ICU room, and is in watching him sleep when Bobbie returns (from where I don't know) and asks to speak with her. She lets M know that she still blames her for the shooting, and that she is on to her. B tells her that it would make her happy if M was to leave GH and work in another hospital, in some other city and state. M admits that subcon she wanted Roy back, but she posses no threat to Bobbie. After all first thing Roy did after being released from prison, was return to PC and Bobbie. As she leaves the room, she asks B to tell Roy she is sorry.

MELISSA and Liz discuss Liz's feeling for Jason and how they became friends while they thought Lucky was dead. Without mentioning names M tells L about a similar situation in her life, and how she had to face her true feeling. Liz insists that they are just friends, She loves Lucky. M is paged by hospital and has to leave. Before she goes she offer a last piece of advice. "You have to be honest with yourself, before you can be honest with others". Jason is on his way back through the park, when he sees Liz. He tries to walk by but she speaks to him. She admits that she misses him. When she asks, J admits he wants more than friendship with her. L admits to it also. They are about to kiss, when Lucky arrives and interrupts.

SONNY asks Leticia to take Michael. After refusing breakfast, tells Carly that she should not be talking to Michael about them having a baby. Or is she pregnant? "No," she replies "but both other times happened after just one time." S says maybe they shouldn't rush in to it. C doesn't understand. He didn't sound unsure when she brought up the subject before. She jumps to the conclusion that it has something to do with his upcoming birthday (and his bad memories of them). S denies it. She asks if they are in danger from Sorrel or Carlos. S denies that also. C expresses her belief that Sonny will be a great father, after all he is great with Michael. Finally she asked "Do you want to have a baby with me?" S answers "NO".

WHEN Laura's blindfold is remove she finds herself at Jake's. Scott has rented it for their exclusive use. He is finally going to teach her to play pool, like he promised (when they were married). After referring to a "How to guide" he proceeds. Laura (trying not to laugh) plays along, but makes great shot after great shot. Finally she admits that she learned to play years ago. After some playful (and really sweet) bantering, they share a kiss. Her purse rings. It is Luke. He wants to talk about Lucky. She asks if it is an emergency. When Luke says "NO", She tells him she is busy and will call him back, then hangs up. A surprised Luke glares at the phone and slams it down.

LUCKY'S questions about his dream upset Luke. Why is Lucky there? He wants to help with the disk decoding. Why the change of mind? That question upsets Lucky. Does Luke want help or not? They are discussing Roy as Luke goes to safe and discovers disks are missing. He immediately blames Helena and her minions. Lucky examines safe, no sign of break-in he states. When Luke presses Lucky admits that although He wants nothing to do with Cassadine/Spencer war, NICK expressed desire to see Luke beat (finish off) Helena. That upsets Luke. Why is it bad for Luke to want revenge for all bad thing C's have done to his loved ones, but OK for NICK to want same. This upsets Lucky who says he is happy Helena stole disks back. Maybe now it will be over and they can go back to being a normal family. As Lucky leaves, Luke asks, "When were we ever a normal family?". Luke picks up the phone and dials.

LAST SCENE:
HELENA (with a pale blue light shining on her face) is talking to either herself or unseen person.
"Soon we will have everything we want, including the destruction of the ENTIRE Spencer family".
