General Hospital Update for Monday, 16-Apr-2001

A drug addict who is in dire need of a FIX holds Melissa hostage with a gun at GH. Roy, Taggart, and others try to persuade the addict to release a scared Melissa. Roy is told to butt out, but he insists on helping to defuse this hostile scenario. In the background, Edward is recuperating from his attack which occurred in front of the courthouse. AJ suggests that the attacker could have been Zander because he and Edward had argued prior to the attack.Zander and Emily are enraptured with each other. No one is of interest to them as they prepare to make love for the first time.Zander does let Emily know how much he cares for her, but he will not discuss his family.
A frustrated Nikolas overhears his wretched grandmother, Helena, and his Uncle Stefan discussing ways to get him to become worthy of his title PRINCE, etc. Nikolas bursts into the mansion's room in a fiery rage and tells both that he has disowned them. He says:"Laura Spencer is my mom, and I will become a member of her family". In the meantime, Laura overhears Luke trying to get Lucky to help him to decode the disks. Lucky says "NO WAY". HE leaves and Laura tells Luke that she does not want the BLOODY CASSIDINE money.Plus, She says"Leave our son alone." They argue heatedly. Laura says: "You're like a stranger .Luke responds sullenly:" I am a stranger."She tells him that they must move on with their lives. She says "You are involved with Felicia"; thus, he looks a little puzzled and leaves her.This viewer feels that Luke will never cease to love HIS LAURA, but she is ready to move on.
Back to the conclusion on GH... Bobbie takes Demerol to Roy to give to the frenzied drug addict. When the addict drops some pills, he becomes paranoid. Roy rushes him, and the two struggle. Melissa and Bobbie watch in fright as the gun goes off. Tune into tomorrow to see if the charismatic Roy has been shot.
