General Hospital Update for Monday, 5-Mar-2001

The title of today's show could very well be THE NEW FACE OF DECEPTION/DISASTER LAUNCH SOIREE. :-)Carly and Gia have royally screwed up.The scheme began when a deceptive Carly asked Gia to plot to get Laura up on the roof to meet with the famous photographer, Miles Schaffer. Gia is to lock Laura out so Carly can announce that Gia has been selected. Not knowing that Mack, the former PC, is out on the cold, windy roof with her, Gia makes a major BOO BOO by locking the door. Carly asks Gia to fix it with glu so, of course, Mack and Laura know that "A CARLY MOMENT "is occurring.(They are not stupid.) Mack had deliberately left the lock unlocked, but when he tried to use a lock pick, it was jammed. A nervous Liz is wondering what is taking place. OF course, Liz has had doubts about all of this attention during the evening,and Lucky has had to reassure her. Meanwhile, Zander has been beaten and kidnapped by Sorel's thugs.A frightened Emily calls Jason to the RESCUE. He tells her to stay put and not to involve the police.The Key that EM gives Jason is RED BOOTS . Jason, gun in tow, knows where and what to look for now.Hence,back at the party(?),there is a puzzled crowd of onlookers asking questions about where Laura is. Mack tells a cold, angry Laura that Carly will not get away with this deception. Carly looks suspicious to Scotty, Amy, Liz, Lucky, Nicholas, and ,even,Sonny as she stumbles to give a speech.Then, Scotty and others know that something is askew, and they are wary. Certain, important guests ask Who is the NEW FACE OF DECEPTION.It's as if some are saying"LET"S GET ON WITH THIS."Yet, the REAL friends and supporters of Laura are asking "WHERE IS LAURA?" Carly looks uneasy sooooooo.You must tune in tomorrow to see if Carly's " scheme" has backfired.
