General Hospital Update for Friday, 23-Feb-2001

A blessed wedding takes place in a small chapel on the island of Martinique between Sonny and one determined Carly. Prior to this HOLY MATRIMONY, Sonny goes to Martinique to get Carly. He says some very hurtful things to her ,but She says:"It's too late now, I love You". Later, before the altar in the Chapel, Sonny asks God to forgive him for hurting Carly so much.He asks God to look over her and to take him rather than her, if need be. It was a reverent, relaxed Sonny who made these requests. The Priest said:" God has sent another woman to love You, and, in essence, Do not be afraid to love Carly." After overhearing his private prayer session, a lovely Carly appears in the wedding gown that had lain on "THE SHELF" for a while.This REAL wedding for these two is sacred and touching to this viewer. Thanks to Carly's tenacity, She is certainly justified to take these vows. :-) In the Town of Port Charles other problems are questionably being dealt with. Lucky has asked Liz not to see Jason again sooo. She goes to the POOL HALL to tell Jason that they cannot be friends any more. Then, She decides to sketch him as he shoots Pool for an Action painting. Before One can react , Jason is holding her arm and showing her how to shoot the ball. Of course, Lucky walks in, and There is FIRE in his eyes. Tune in Monday to witness this explosive moment.It's a strange way for Liz to say goodbye to a caring Jason,isn't it?
Another sad moment is between Gia and her faithful friend Nicholas.Gia is despondent because She overheard Laura tell Lucky and Liz that THE NEW FACE OF DECEPTION will be Elizabeth.. A sad Gia says that She must put this behind her and return to Brooklyn to go back to college. Nicholas begs her not to leave. He is furious when he tells Laura that She has chosen the wrong girl, and that She has been rather sneaky. Laura tells him that DECEPTION needs an innocent look and not one that is quite as sultry or defined as that of Gia's. All in ALL, Laura's poor handling of this issue has caused conflict between Lucky and Nick and her and her son. Without a doubt, this was a FULL DAY for the lovers on General Hospital.I can't wait to see the next scenario for these actors.
