General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 20-Feb-2001

Disclaimer: What a day to choose for my first update! Nobody would stand still; they kept moving around and bumping into each other's story lines. I'm sorry if this is confusing. It confused me a bit too.

Luke's Office

While Luke is starting the morning, Bobbie comes in to his office. After refusing coffee, she tells Luke that she and Roy have discussed their problems, and Roy has seen Melissa and been forgiven. She wants Luke to understand that everything is fine between her and Roy, and she doesn't want Luke to doubt Roy. Luke says that he doesn't doubt Roy, but he was worried about her. She assures him she's fine, than leaves.
Later, Roy comes into Luke's office. Luke asks about some cheques that he had laying around. Roy says that he cashed them. Luke mentions that they weren't signed, than realizes that Roy forged his signature. He is amused and offers Roy another chance to help him get back the Ice Princess. Roy asks why this is so important to Luke. Luke tells Roy about the conversation he overheard on Helena's yahat in which she said that Lucky was expendable and his brainwashing was merely a run through for her master plan to brainwash Nikolas. Luke restates his desire to use the Ice Princess to make Helena help Lucky. Roy agrees to help.

PCPD

The show opens with Mac and Felicia discussing Sorel's arrest. Felicia tries to get Mac to look on the bright side: Sorel was caught, the mayor will forgive him for putting her on the case, and everything will be all right. She suggests that Mac should hold a press conference and thank "whoever" caught Sorel. Mac says that he appreciates her optimism, but he still wants to get Sonny and Jason. Taggert brings him a warrant for Jason's arrest (on kidnapping, obstruction, assault, etc.). They hope to put pressure on Jason and make him talk.
Later, Taggert has arrested Jason, while Mac has gone to the penthouse and picked up Sonny for questioning. They bring the two of them to interrogation, but they won't talk. Alexis bursts in and gets them released, much to Mac's annoyance. Sonny tells Alexis he wants to talk to her about "something" (divorce) later. Mac and Alexis have a little scene where he tells her she is being used by gangsters, and she tells him his tactics worry her. Sonny and Jason leave.

Penthouse

The morning after their fight, Sonny takes off his wedding ring as Carly comes in. She says that she hoped that he would have changed his mind. He says that he wants her to leave, and that he is sure he wants a divorce. He asks her not to make this harder. She replies that she will not give in and if he wants a divorce, he will have to fight her to get one. They replay their fight from yesterday, about how her fears loosing her to his lifestyle, and he doesn't want to feel that kind of pain again. She calls him a coward for being afraid of loosing her and Michael. He asks her if she wants him to feel the pain that she felt when she say him in the burning warehouse, only worse because it would be his fault. Just then, Mac comes in to take Sonny in for questioning (see PCPD above). Sonny tells Carly he wants her gone when he gets back. Laura calls Carly and tells her they have to make major decisions for Deception. Carly says she can't talk right now, and hangs up. Carly takes Sonny's wedding ring and places it on a chain around her neck. Michael comes in while Carly is packing a suitcase. She tells him she is going away for a while on an airplane.
After his questioning, Sonny comes back to find Carly gone, and Michael still there. He wants to know where she went, but no one knows. He runs to the closet looking for her wedding dress, but it is gone. Flash to Carly on a plane for Martinique. She says that she knows Sonny loves her, now he has to come and get her.

Kelly's

Emily is serving breakfast to Zander (Xander?). Jason comes in, and Emily introduces them under more polite circumstances. Lucky and Liz come down, and Lucky and Jason get in another spat. L+L leave, and Emily tires to apologize to Jason for Lucky. Alan and Monica come in (this is really the place today) and make strained small talk with Emily, Zander, and Jason. They are glad to see him again, and hope that he is staying for good. Everything is going fine until Edward come in. Alan and Monica tell him to go home, but he won't and insults Jason, telling him it is all his fault Emily is acting the way she is. He tells Jason to tell Emily come home, which makes her angry. The grown-ups sit down for breakfast when Taggert comes in to arrest Jason (see PCPD). Alan says that the PCPD has finally done something right, causing Zander to tell him to "Stuff it". Edward acts like Zander cussed him out. Alan and Monica yell at Edward, telling him he's wrong.
Bobbie and Felicia come in. Bobbie mentions that Luke was preoccupied during their talk, leading Felicia to tell her about their search of the Cassidine house. Felicia says that she wants to help Luke, but her priorities are always her girls first, Luke second.
Jason returns from his arrest (see PCPD) and Lucky and Liz return from Deception (see Deception). Emily is glad to see him all right, but Lucky makes a snide comment about how Jason should be used to being under arrest. He than leaves with Liz.

Deception

Amy is sitting on Laura's desk as she comes in. Amy asks why Laura doesn't call Scott and ask him to have lunch with her. Amy then asks why Carly isn't there. Laura mentions her personal problems, but Amy won't buy it. She says that Laura should make the descidion about the Face of Deception, and than suggest buying out Carly's share of the company.
Liz and Lucky come in. The test shoot is scheduled for "tomorrow". Both of them are fine with that, though they are a little tense since Lucky just had a fight with Jason. Laura steps out for a minute. Lucky says that secrets and lies destroyed him family, and he is afraid of her lies for Jason. Liz says she understands, and they are fine again. On the way back from Deception, Lucky asks Liz to stop seeing Jason. She says that she can't very well stop talking to him, and Lucky says no, but she could avoid him. Liz reluctantly agrees. They go back to Kelly's (see Kelly's)
