General Hospital Update for Tuesday, 30-Jan-2001

There was a lot of action on today’s show--not the least of which was the long anticipated photo shoot. Liz was stuggling in front of the camera, basically making a fool of herself in front of Laura, Carly and all else involved. During a break Lucky tried to help her calm her nerves by pretending to shoot her with a camera that is worth more than he is. After they leave and the shoot is over Gia comes in and imagines herself--lights, camera, costume and all--at her own photo shoot. Unknown to Gia, Nikolas enjoys watching this show. Liz returns to her studio after the shoot to find Jason waiting for her.

Bobbie meets the mysterious Melissa for the first time and they have a conversation about their past relationships with Roy. A rather territorial Bobbie informs Melissa that she and Roy are in fact still together. Luke, in costume as Darius Cassadine, continues to bluff his way closer to the Ice Princess.

Alexis told a distraught Roy that she would not be able to seal the court records in which he testified against Melissa's brother. She left Roy to head right over to the Quartermaine's where Taggert and the police were waiting with Zander. The Q's were interacting in typical fashion while Lila devised her own distraction--she served tea to all of her guests including the police and Zander. This stalling tactic allowed enough time for Alexis to arrive and accompany Zander to the PCPD. A furious Emily informed Edward that she would never forgive him for what he's done. We've heard that one before.

The grand finale, and the high point of the show was Sonny's proposal to Carly. He got down on one knee and declared his love and desire for a real wedding ceremony.
