General Hospital Update for Monday, 29-Jan-2001

Stefan and Laura:
Stefan tries to convince Laura to help make Nikolas understand that everything he did was for Nikolas’ best interest. Laura listens to Stefan, but tells him that she doesn’t believe him. She says they she will not intercede for Stefan and that he should give Nikolas some time to recover from all that has happened. Then Laura dismisses Stefan by telling him she has an appointment, and he has made her late. This obviously infuriates him. He grabs Laura’s arm and tells her that she will not come between him and Nikolas! Stefan also lets her know that even though Laura is Nikolas’ mother, he is the one who raised him. Laura counters and tells Stefan that even though that is true, she is the one who was with Nikolas when was devastated by Stefan’s supposed death, and dealing with Luke being accused of the murder. Laura ends with letting Stefan know that she will not let him threaten her.

Elizabeth and Deception Test Shoot:
As the crew and photographer get ready to begin, it is apparent to them that Elizabeth is tense. Elizabeth wonders out loud if they should wait for Laura. They reassure her that Laura will arrive in time and the shoot and her pictures will be wonderful. The music begins and they start the test shoot, but Elizabeth is too nervous to enjoy what could be a very exciting day. The photographer tells everyone to take “5” and tells Elizabeth to close her eyes and take a minute to refresh herself. Laura finally arrives and reassures Elizabeth that she wants her to be the face of Deception. When Nikolas arrives, Laura asks him to talk to Elizabeth. Elizabeth confides to Nikolas about her memories of Tom and the rape. Nikolas works wonders and Elizabeth finally lets loose! However, Carly is outside the door of the studio, with Gia. Carly tells Gia that she wants to her to see how everything is going to work, and so that she can be prepared. She wants Gia not to be nervous and have a great test shoot. When they walk in the door, Carly makes her and Gia’s presence well known and interrupting the shoot! Laura is obviously surprised, along with Nikolas and Elizabeth, and lets Carly know that she is upset. When Carly banters with asking if the shoot was supposed to be kept hush-hush, Laura tells her no, but she should have given her a heads-up. Nikolas gets upset with Gia for letting Carly pull her into her game. Gia apologizes to Laura and says that she will leave if it is a problem. Laura asks Elizabeth if it is all right for Gia and Carly to stay for the shoot, and will tell them to leave if it isn’t. Elizabeth tells Carly and Gia that they can stay, but she is going to watch Gia’s shoot, if she has time in her busy schedule.

Sonny and The Dreams:
Sonny continues to have dreams about being shot by two men in police uniforms. He sees a women laying face down. He always crawls over to her and when he turns over, he sees Carly. He is devastated and it apparent how much he cares for his wife. While still sleeping, Sonny starts yelling and calling out loud. Carly comes downstairs and wakes Sonny and makes sure that he is o.k. He tells her that he had a bad dream and that he can’t really remember it.

Emily and Zander:
Emily and Zander come back to Elizabeth’s studio from a day of playing in the snow. She tells Zander how much fun she had and she wants it to last. Zander tells Emily that they can’t run forever and that she should go back home and he should turn himself into the police. She doesn’t want to, but finally decides he is right. When they get to the Quartermaine's, they are alone for a moment. Emily tells Zander he should go to before someone see him. He is about to walk out the door, when he decides he should call Alexis. After some discussion (that I missed), Emily convinces Zander to go and they kiss. A.J. enters and sees the couple kissing and yells at Zander, telling him to get his hands off of his sister. Emily tries to calm A.J. down and tell him how Zander is not a bad person. All the commotion brings Alan, Monica, Edward and Lila into the room. Zander tries to protect Emily by stepping between her and her family. Alan threatens Zander and tells him to let go of his daughter. Emily defends Zander when the family asks if he hurt her. An argument breaks out and Emily tells them how she was already going to run away when Zander stopped her. She told them that she had only enough money to make it to Iowa, and Zander helped her make it to Port Charles. While this is happening, Edward sneaks out and calls the police. When Taggart arrives and placed Zander under arrest, Emily wants to know who called. She lashes out at her family. Zander tries to calm her down and tells her that everything will be o.k.

Luke in Instanbul
Luke tried to pass himself off as Darius Cassedine to get information on their holdings. He thinks that he has passed the test when his passport and other paperwork is accepted as identification. Not to mention he does a pretty good imitation of Stefan! However, there is another test to verify that he is a Cassedine!

Ned vs. Alexis’ Work
Ned knocks on Alexis’ penthouse door hoping to make amends in their relationship. They start talking about her work being work and how it sometimes interferes and hurts his family. They decide to stop the conversation, in fear that it might cause another argument. When they finally start to get intimate, her work interferes (again). She agrees to help Roy with a problem sealing his files from a court hearing in the past. Roy doesn’t want anyone to be able to read the information. Alexis agrees to help. Ned storms out.

Roy and Bobbie
Bobbie tells Roy she needs to make an out of town excursion to see a friend. Once she gets to her destination and knocks on the door to an apartment, a lady with blonde hair appears.

Sonny and Jason
Sonny makes a telephone call to Jason, who is in Elizabeth’s studio. Sonny asks Jason if everything is arranged and Jason tells him yes. Sonny tells Jason that everything must be in order to take care of Sorel.
