General Hospital Update for Friday, 29-Dec-2000

Carly continues her bedside vigil beside a still unconcious Sonny. She confesses her love to him and tells him that he must get better. Bobbie arrives and asks Carly why she didn't have anyone call her and tell her about Sonny. Carly says that there is nothing that Bobbie could have done. Bobbie tells Carly that she could have been there for her and held her hand, even if that was all, and Carly thanks her mother for her concern and her love.

Later, Bobbie talks to Monica about Sonny's condition and Monica tells Bobbie that she should probably prepare Carly for the worst. When Carly overhears this she goes balistic on Monica! Carly tells Monica that Sonny is going to make it through this and live whether Monica likes it or not!

Alexis wakes up the morning after the shooting and as she walks downstairs, Ned is on his way up with a tray of French Toast for breakfast in bed. Alexis thanks him for the sentiment but insists on eating downstairs because she has decided that she doesn't want to waste one precious moment of life ever again. She is totally "high on life" and claims to have a new perspective on everything. She also vows never to take anything for granted again, especially Ned.

Alan goes to see Zander. Alan tells Zander that he wants him to stay away from Emily or else! Emily walks into Zander's hospitsl room at the end of the conversation and Alan tells her that he was only taking her advice and trying to get to know Zander. (what a liar!) When Alan leaves, Zander tries to talk Emily into going to the movies or ice skating or anything else besides hanging around him. Emily then tells Zander that she knows her dad told him to stay away from him but that Emily is her own person and for Zander to quit trying to get rid of her because she is there because that is where she wants to be.

Taggert shows up and tells Zander that since he is being released that he should go back into police custody so that he will be "safe"! Zander reminds him of the dead rat on his lunch tray and the death threatening notes he received while in custody and says that the PCPD is not a place that he will feel "safe"! Emily calls Alexis and tells her the situation. Alexis tells Emily to tell Zander not to go anywhere and that she is on her way to the hospital. Ned isn't pleased.
